Carolyn possessed a childlike quality in life, she would become very excited over simple things and her laughter would light up the room. She loved Christmas and decorating for it, often starting in October. Mind you, it wasn’t the fanciest of decorations, but she did her part to create the Christmas spirit. Carolyn loved watching all the Hallmark Christmas movies each year. She also loved westerns, if you went to her house and it wasn’t time for the news, you would find her watching some old cowboy show from when “times where simpler.” Before injuries from a car accident made it too difficult, she worked in the home health industry. She was very passionate about taking care of the elderly. In her spare time Carolyn enjoyed fishing and playing Rummy. She loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart. After losing her twin sister Carol in 2015, Carolyn would often speak of looking forward to seeing her in heaven. When asked why she would always say “I can’t explain it other than she is me, and I am her. She is who I’m closest to.”
