Doris F. Burleson, age 90, formerly of the Whitehouse Community in Marion County, Alabama passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at Brookdale University Park Skilled Nursing Facility in Birmingham, AL. Mrs. Burleson was born on March 10, 1935 in Phil Campbell, AL to Horace H. Herring & Myrtle Daisy (Taylor) Herring. She was a sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and member of the Whitehouse Church of Christ. She was blessed with 62 years of marriage to Bernard Burleson until his passing on July 09, 2014.
Ms. Burleson is survived by her sons Greg Burleson (Glenda) and Roger Burleson (Rhonda), her grandchildren, Bethany Tongate (David), Blake (Gabrielle) Burleson & Aaron Burleson, great-grandchildren, Emily Tongate, Hamilton & Stella Rose Burleson, brother-in-law, Wayne (Gail) Burleson and a host of nieces and nephews.
Ms. Burleson was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Burleson, parents Horace & Myrtle Herring, siblings, Maugritte Herring, Nada Herring Mullins, Jessie Herring Blalock, twins Pearl Herring Brock & Merle Herring Lee, Mae Herring Swinney & Ray Herring, and Mrs. Burleson’s twin Norris Herring.
Special mention to Alabama Hospice Care of Birmingham, Alabama for making mother’s final days peaceful and pain free.
Funeral services for Mrs. Burleson will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to following the Whitehouse Church of Christ Cemetery. The visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. service time at the funeral home.
The officiating ministers will be Bro. Byron Longcrier and Bro. Vance Hutton.

Mrs. Rana Marie Burgess Tucker, age 47, of Winfield passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 in the North Mississippi Health Service-South Marion Hospital in Winfield. Mrs. Tucker was born on October 19, 1977 in Amory, MS to Ronnie Burgess and Martha Benton Burgess. Rana was a 1996 graduate of Winfield City High School. She was a loving, devoted mother to her two boys Colby and Mayson and stepmother to Emily, all whom she loved with her whole heart. Rana was a devoted wife to Gregory Tucker for 25 years. She loved to vacation in the mountains, spend weekends at the casino, and most of all spend quality time with family.
Rana is survived by her husband, Greg Tucker, her children, Colby Tucker (Cursten), Mayson Tucker, and Emily Tucker, her grandchildren, Ava and Mia Mason, her mother, Martha Benton Weakley (Wayne), brother, David Burgess, sister, Melissa Morell (Taz), and a host of other family members and friends.
Rana was preceded in death by her father, Ronnie Burgess, and her grandparents, Arthur and Nan Burgess and JT and Lucy Benton.
A private family graveside service for Rana will be held in the Antioch Church of Christ Cemetery in Killen, Alabama.

Mr. Wade Hampton Harbin, age 94, of Winfield passed away on Friday, August 29, 2025 at North Mississippi Health Services in Tupelo. Mr. Harbin was born on October 2, 1930, in Rock City, Alabama to George and Theola Edwards Harbin. He was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Winfield and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was also a dedicated member of the Winfield Masonic Lodge #304, where he was inducted in 1963 and remained active until his passing. Mr. Harbin worked with the South Pacific Railroad for 36 years, serving as a brakeman, switchman, and later retiring as a conductor. In his younger years, he enjoyed bird hunting, and in retirement liked to fish, garden, and travel with his beloved wife, Norma Jean. They were blessed with 63 years of marriage.
Mr. Harbin is survived by his children, Phyllis Holley and Mike Harbin (Sharla), his grandchildren, David Harbin (Amy) and Jason Harbin (Georgianna), great-grandchildren, John Grady and Ethan Michael Harbin, his special nephew, Ronald Miles, brother-in-law, Buddy Ashmore, caregiver, Alene Cagle, special friend, Judy Hubbert, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Mr. Harbin was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean Ashmore Harbin, his parents, and his siblings, Alta V. Doss, Ruby Oliver, and Laura Miles.
Funeral services for Mr. Harbin will be held on Friday, September 5th at 11:00 a.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Winfield City Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Linda Kay Norris, age 66, of Winfield passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2025 in the DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. Linda was born on December 16, 1958, to Thomas Jackson Harris and Maveleen Tidwell Harris Bly. Linda was a member of the White Springs Methodist Church and grew up in the Hubbertville community where she attended Hubbertville High School. She worked for many years as a cleaner for several area businesses and homes until her passing. Linda was a caregiver at heart. She loved taking care of her family, and she had a special gift for making everyone she met feel loved and spoiled. She was lovingly known to everyone as Grammy. Linda was happiest when surrounded by her husband, children, and grandchildren. She especially enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren dance, and through the years, she extended her love to all the dancers who shared the stage with her children, treating them as family.
Linda is survived by her husband of 50 years, Eddie Don Norris, daughter, Shannon South (Jason), her son, Brandon Norris (Jarrod Winslett), her grandchildren, Emma Grace and Easton South, siblings, Brenda Reese (Jerry) and Jerry Harris, sisters-in-law, Jane Berryhill and Glenette Holmes (Larry), and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Larry Harris.
Funeral services for Mrs. Norris will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the White Springs Methodist Church Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. service time at the funeral home.
