Cody Gaines Box, age 39, of Winfield passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2025 at North Mississippi Health Services South Marion. He was born on August 18, 1986, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to the late Richard Box and Becky Box Aultman. Cody was a 2004 graduate of Winfield City High School and went on to attend the Marine Mechanics Institute in Orlando, Florida, where he earned his associate degree in marine mechanics. He worked with 3M Manufacturing before following his passion and starting his own boat mechanic business. Cody was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He competed in fishing tournaments with both FLW and B.A.S.S. and he also enjoyed practicing mixed martial arts.

Cody is survived by his wife, Tabitha Hughes Box, his sons, Brantley, Beau, and Braxton Box, his mother and stepfather, Becky and Greg Aultman, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members.

Cody was preceded in death by his father Richard Box, and his grandparents, Billie Ed and Mary Box, Jerrie and Glenn McDaniel, and Ted Sprinkle.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be held in the Grigg’s Place Cemetery.
