Mr. David C. GilbertMr. David Carl Gilbert, age 50 of Winfield, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at his residence. David was a retired Seargent with the United States Army National Guard with over 22 years of service, receiving numerous medals during his career. David served his country with two combat tours; Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, along with many humanitarian deployments at home and abroad. He was employed with the Alabama Department of Corrections and as a Freewill Baptist pastor. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wallace Carl Gilbert, Audie Marie Guin Gilbert, Oley Webster and Gertrude Smith Webster. David is survived by his wife, Donna White Gilbert, a son, Dylan (Kali) Gilbert, a daughter, Dalaina Gilbert, his parents, Davis Gilbert and Sibyl Gilbert, a brother, Ronald (Teresa) Gilbert, a sister, Judy Price, sister in law, Deanna White, father in law, Harold (Judy) White, mother in law, Carol (James) Scott, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, church family, co-workers and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services we Be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 29, 2017 from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Center United Methodist Church Cemetery near Brilliant. Full military honors will be presented at the graveside. Jerry Williams and Grant Webb will be the officiating ministers. The visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Bowen Funeral Home of Winfield serving the Gilbert family.    

David Earl FieldsDavid Earl Fields, age 58 of Winfield, passed away on January 1, 2017. He is survived by his daughters, Tina Pritchett, Katherine Fields, and April Fields,  a sister, Thelma Frances Yarbrough, a brother, Alvin Gene Fields, and 7 grandchildren. A memorial service is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 15, from the Bowen Funeral Home chapel.

 

 

 

Mrs. Linda Cheryl FryeMrs. Linda Cheryl Frye, age 57 of Winfield, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her husband Gary Frye, her father, Andre' Riley, and her grandmothers, Ethel Whitson and Princey Franks. Mrs. Frye is survived by her children, Cherry (Chris) Walton of Collierville, TN, Bobby (Jerry) Baker of Winfield, and Tabitha Hall of Winfield, her siblings, Ann (Clovis) Harbin of Scobey, MS, Bobby (Sonya) Franks of Richmond, VA, Kevin (Tonya) Franks of Winfield, Greg Franks of Winfield, Andy (Bobbie) Riley of Winfield, Annette Riley, of Winfield, and Cassie (Thomas) Humber of Winfield, her mother, Sarah Ethelene Riley of Winfield, 11 grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other realtives and friends. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to Follow in Musgrove Chapel Cemetery. Grant Webb will be the officiating minister. The visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Bowen Funeral Home of Winfield serving the Frye family.   

Theresa Clark WeeksMrs. Theresa Clark Weeks, age 54 of Hamilton, passed away on December 31, 2016 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was preceded in death by her mother, Catherine Harkins Clark and her Husband Michael P. Weeks Sr. She is survived by her father, William Clark, her children, Amber Rose Weeks, Shianne Bambinelli (Zac), and Michael P. Weeks Jr., a granddaughter, Catherine Rose Weeks, and 2 brothers, Edward and William Clark. A memorial service for Mrs. Weeks will be announced at at later date.
