Mr. James Hollie Tucker, Jr, age 74, passed away November 21, 2018, at his daughters’ residence in Bankston.
Mr. Tucker was preceded in death by his parents, James Hollie Tucker, Sr and Ada Bell Reed Tucker, his wife JoAnn Tucker and three sisters. He is survived by his daughter, Joy Tucker Gugaria of Bankston, sons, Tony Tucker (Tammy) and Todd Tucker both of Winfield, grandchildren, Scott Tucker, Jessica Tucker, Holli Nix, Jordan Gugaria, Brenda Gugaria, and Jewel Tucker, five great grandchildren and two on the way.
A memorial service for Mr. Tucker will be announced at a later date.

Mr. Hoyt Jackson Box, Jr. better known as Jacky, age 55, of Winfield, passed away Friday, November 16th, 2018 in the Walker Baptist Medical Center in Jasper. Jacky was a 1981 graduate of Winfield City High School, and retired after 38 years with the United Parcel Service.
Jacky was preceded in death by his parents, Hoyt Jackson Box, Sr. and Betty Jo Rutledge Box and his brother, Lonnie Box. He is survived by his wife, Dawn Box, daughters, Haley Box, Abby Box and Madelyn Box, sisters, Donna McCaleb (Lanny) of Hubbertville and Beth Jones (Herb) of Sylacauge and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Jacky will be held Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel, the visitation will be Wednesday from 12:00 noon until 3:00 p.m. (service time) from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Doris Jean Morris, age 74, of Winfield, passed away Friday, November 16, 2018 at her daughters’ residence in Nauvoo, AL. Mrs. Morris worked for many years as an inspector at Clifford Industries in Winfield.
Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by her, her husband, Ralph Morris, mother, Rachel Voce Morris, a son, Scott Morris, a granddaughter, Amber Morris, and her sister, Ann Brasher. She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Bankston (James) of Nauvoo, Melissa Morris (Joey Lindley) of Brilliant, sons, Wayne Morris of Fayette and Michael Morris (Laura) of Fayette, and her grandchildren, Dakota Estes, Sidnie Estes and Tyler Lindley, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Morris will be held on Sunday November 18, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Mickey Crain will be the officiating minister. Burial will follow in the West Alabama Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. (service time) at the funeral home.

Mrs. Mary Helen Hollis Alexander, age 82, of Winfield, passed away Monday, November 12, 2018 at her residence.
Mrs. Alexander was born in Gattman, Mississippi on January 17, 1936 to Isiah and Virgie Lockhart Hollis. Mrs. Alexander was a teacher at Winfield City Elementary School for 28 years. After her retirement, she worked with Early Intervention of Alabama for over 20 years. Mrs. Alexander was a 1954 graduate of Sulligent High School, attended Auburn University, and received a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Alabama; she was a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma teacher’s sorority, Gideon’s Auxiliary, Cosmopolitan Club and Studiosis Club.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ray Alexander, her daughter, Jill Satcher of Northport, sons, Tom Alexander (Cindy) of Havelock, NC and Chuck Alexander of Madison, AL, grandchildren, Jeremy Satcher, Daniel Satcher, Janie Alexander DeWitt (Vince) and Hannah Alexander and sister, Marie Hill of Tuscaloosa. Mrs. Alexander is preceded in death by her parents, Isiah and Virgie Lockhart Hollis, sisters, Eunice Mitchell, Hazel Wheeler, Florence Williams, brothers, Carl Hollis, Harold Hollis, and James Allen Hollis, daughter in law, Lydia Campbell Alexander, and sister in law, Sue Anderson.
To say that Mrs. Alexander will be missed is an understatement. She was known for her kind ways, her smile, her positive and affirming personality, her concern and care for others and her devotion to her family and friends. Her love for children was unmatched and evident through her 50 year career of working with children. Heaven is now an even sweeter place with her presence.
Funeral services for Mrs. Alexander will be held on Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Winfield First United Methodist Church. Earl Freeman will be the officiating minister. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel. Pallbearers will be, Greg Guin, Tim Thomas, Eddie Posey, Anthony McCaleb, Roger Davis, Butch Ivie, Jack Russell, Sambo Butler and Jim Raines. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Early Intervention, Delta Kappa Gamma teacher’s sorority, Sandy Anderson, June Key, Linda McDonald, Sarah Moore and Jane Raines.
