Ms. Wanda Faye Tidwell, age 69, of Guin, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2018 at her daughter’s residence in Sheffield. Wanda is survived by her children, Tina Tidwell Harville (Chuck) of Sheffield, Timmy Tidwell and Shane Tidwell both of Guin, six grandchildren, Brandy Kilgore Gwin (Jeremy), Ethan Kilgore (Katelan), Jayden Woods, Ashton Tidwell, Preston Tidwell, Braxton Tidwell, two great grandchildren, Dawson Frost and Justice Frost, two sisters, Retha Johnson of Cullman and Linda Burnett of Russellville, two brothers, Junior Stidham of Bear Creek and James Stidham of Michigan. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Myrtle Ann Holland Stidham, five sisters and one brother. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 1, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. (service time). Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 p. m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Elaine Avery Webster, age 77, of Jasper, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Ridgeview Health Care in Jasper. Mrs. Webster is survived by her husband James “Jim” Webster of Jasper, two daughters, Karen Hilbun of Birmingham and Susan Goertz (Buddy) of Seattle, WA, two step sons, James M. “Jimmy” Webster of Huntsville and William Webster (Kim) of Prattville, 9 grandchildren, Ben Goertz, Caleb Goertz, Amy Paul, Jacob Goertz, Lily Hilbun, Grayson Webster, Kailey Webster, Britton Webster, Caroline Webster, 4 great grandchildren, Theodore Goertz, Eleanor Goertz, Zeppelin Paul, and Ember Paul and other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, James Troy and Ruth Hill Avery. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Bowen Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Lisa Ann Marek, age 48, of the Whites Chapel community, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Walker Baptist Medical Center in Jasper, AL. Lisa is survived by her husband, Carl Dan Potts, her sisters, Linda Young, Mary Brown, and Barbara Baumgartner, a brother, Fred young all of Chicago, IL, aunt, Darlene Tucker (Dewy), great aunt, Frances Groom and a host of other relatives and friends. Mr. Jason Clarence Elliott, Jr., better known to some as “JC or Junior” age 86, of Winfield, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2018 at the Northwest Medical Center in Winfield. J. C. was a United States Army Veteran, a member of the American Legion, Post 100 in Winfield, AL, and a member of the Union Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. He is retired from Continental Conveyor where he worked as a forklift operator. He is survived by his wife, Linda Elliott, children, Dewayne Harrison (Sandy), Chris Harrison (BJ), Vicky Parker (Jeff), Lisa Simmons (Michael), Shelly Welch (Joey), grandchildren, Justin and Julie Elliott, that he raised as his own, and a host of other grand and great grandchildren, sisters, Alice McCormick (Gordan), Linda Guy, Cricket Goodwin, brother, Robert Elliott, sisters in law, Joyce Harkins, Joan Harbin and Edith Walker (Bill), brother in law, Alfred Trimm and a host of other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Mr. Elliott is preceded in death by his parents, Jason Clarence, Sr, and Flora Mae Vaughn Elliott, son, David Allen Elliott, grandson, Michous Allen Elliott, sister, Mary Elliott Mobley, brothers, Buford Elliott and Roger Elliott, sister in law, Brenda Trimm, brothers in law, Brooks “Tater” Trimm, Milford Trimm, and Ray Trimm. Funeral services for Mr. Elliott will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the West Alabama Memorial Gardens in Gu-Win.
