Mrs. Betty Faye Aldridge, age 78, of Winfield passed away Monday, February 27, 2017 in the Northwest Medical Center in Winfield. Mrs. Aldridge was a member of the East Winfield Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her mother, Flora Chastine Eads Franks. Betty is survived by her husband of over 60 years Gene Aldridge of Winfield, and her children, Jessica Garner (James) , Anthony Aldridge (Carla), of Winfield, Jennifer Smith (Ken) of Guin, and Scott Aldridge (Kim) of Winfield, grandchildren, Emily Tittle (Rodney) of Winfield, Kallie Woodley (David) of Winfield, Kimberly Cowart (Walker “Sparky”) of Northport, Brennan and Savannah Smith of Guin, Will and Ty Aldridge of Winfield, great grandchildren, Emma Kate Tittle and Lane Woodley of Winfield, a brother, Tim Franks (Donna) of Lake Charles, LA and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 from the Bowen Funeral Home chapel. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. till 6:00 p.m. (service time). Interment will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Griggs Place Cemetery. Mrs. Martha Carolyn Dodd, age 70 of Brilliant, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at her residence. Carolyn was a 1964 graduate of Haleyville High School. She was previously employed with West Oil Company and the Haleyville Housing Authority. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert M. Arthur and Margie Sowell Arthur, and a sister, Gloria Rawls. She is survived by her husband, Tony Dodd of Brilliant, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2017 from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Bethel Cemetery near Brilliant. Charlie Rawls and Steve Tidwell will be the officiating ministers. The visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. (service time) on Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Alice Ann Spann Robertson, age 79 of Winfield, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Fayette Long Term Care Center. Mrs. Robertson earned a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, devoting more than 40 years to her profession; most recently serving as the Director of Nurses at Winfield Carraway Hospital for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Roston Spann and Myrtie Bell Webster Spann, sisters, Polly Smith, Sarah Bull, and Reba Wheeler, and a brother, Glenn Spann. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Charles Robertson, son, Jeff Robertson (Kerri), grandchildren, Kelly Rose Lindsey, (Matthew), Kensey Robertson, and Lane Robertson, great grandson, Becton Brown, sisters, Danny Lou Spann, Bonnie Campbell, and Judy May, brothers, Benny Spann and Billy Mack Spann, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 19, 2017 from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Goodwater Cemetery. Brother Venlon Bradford will officiate. The visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. (service time) on Sunday at the funeral home. Bobby Lacy, Brad Cunningham, Greg Moore, Jason Norris, Greg Guin, Chris Newman, Mark McDonald, Jeff Bostick and Tony Nicholson will serve as active pallbearers, Dale Spruiell, Duell Holloway, Donald Shelton, Bob Henger and Solon Cunningham will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family would like to extend special thanks to all of the wonderful nurses and staff at Fayette Long Term Care Center for their kind and loving care. Mrs. Helen Juanita Mills, age 80 of Winfield, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at her residence. Helen was a lifelong resident of Winfield. She was co-owner of Dodd Furniture with her husband Roy. J. Mills for over 38 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy J. Mills, her parents, Columbus L. Wood and Lilly Eugenia Burleson Wood, three brothers, Sherman Wood, Junior Wood and Kenneth Wood, and two sisters, Edith Smith and Betty Wood. Helen is survived by her children, Kathy Mills, and Michael Mills, a grandson, Christopher Humbers, a sister, Ruth Thatenhurst, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 13, from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Winfield City Cemetery.
