Lorene Porter Black, age 68, of Winfield passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018 in the Northwest Medical Center in Winfield. Lorene is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Maxine Stonefield Porter, Jr. She is survived by her children, Loyde Porter Jr. of Winfield, Billy Porter of Winfield, Jessica Porter of Birmingham, Kathryn Porter of Hattiesburg, MS, Rhonda Porter of Purvis, MS, Gina Porter of Winfield, Andy Smith of Haleyville and Joy Smith of Belk, 15 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, sisters, Brenda Newton (Dick) of CO and Cathy Corbin (Scott) of WA, brother, Steven Mayfield of CA, uncle, Roy Guyton of Sulligent and her caregiver for the last 40 years Loyde Porter, Sr. of Winfield. Funeral services for Mrs. Black will be Monday, March 19, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Old Union cemetery.   Visitation will Be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. (service time) on Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Barbara Ann Edmonds, age 79, of Hwy 241 Haleyville near the Whitehouse community, formally of Starkville, MS, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, MS. Mrs. Edmonds is preceded in death by her husband, Frankie Leo Edmonds, daughter, Glenda Wilson, parents, John M. West and Maxine West Bross, her brother, Neal Ketchum and a great granddaughter, Makayla Dunlap. Barbara is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Broughton (Mike) of Winfield, Theresa Vandiver (Dewayne) of Haleyville and Darleen Johnson of TN, son, James Clegg of TN, grandchildren, Jimmy Edmonds of Brilliant, Candance Cornelius of Haleyville, Shane Wilson of OH, Jennifer Bucy of TN, Jessica Olvera of TN, 15 great grandchildren, her sister, Freda Williams of IL, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Edmonds will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Bradley, MS. Belinda Lee Derryberry Brown, age 67, of Brilliant, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2018 at her mother’s home in Brilliant, AL.  Belinda is preceded in death by her father, Robert Fred Derryberry and her brother, Robert Vernon Derryberry.  She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Iva Lee Derryberry, her daughters, Christy Lynn Brown and Lisa Ann Brown, her grandchildren, Megan Crumpton, Cody Crumpton, Drew Dozier, Tiffany and Karlee Dickinson, great grandchildren, Averie Boshell, Elijah Barnes, Micah Crumpton and Wade Shirley, sisters, Mary Ann Hardin and Carol Hurt (Gary) and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.  Funeral services for Belinda will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home chapel with burial to follow in the West Alabama Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Gary Hurt will officiate.   Bowen Funeral Home of Winfield serving the Brown Family.

Weston Ray Fulmer, infant son of Cole and Dusty Miles Fulmer, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2018 in the UAB Hospital.  Weston was preceded in death by his grandfather, Russell Miles, great grandmother Bonnie White, great grandfather, Robert Miles and great grandparents Lelon and Martha Fulmer.   He is survived by his parents, Cole and Dusty Fulmer, grandparents, Terry and Peggy Fulmer of Winfield, David and Tina Prescott of Carbon Hill, great grand parents, Robert and Bernice Prescott of Winfield,  Edward and Jane Shedd of Carbon Hill, Paul White of Jasper and Mary Jo Prescott of Carbon Hill,  and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and other relatives.  A private graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 from the Griggs Place cemetery.  Bro.
