Mrs. Mildred Rich Bolen, age 88, of Guin, passed away on Monday, November 12, 2018 at the Marion Regional Nursing Facility in Hamilton.

Mrs. Bolen was employed as a Presser at RELTOC for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed quilting and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Loranzy Dawl Bolen, daughter, Marcine Braden, sister, Ophelia Lann, and her bothers, Wallace and Obedee Rich. Mrs. Bolen is survived by her sons, Larry David Bolen (Mary) of Guin and Douglas Bolen (Mary) of Flager Beach, FL, brother, Robert Rich of Toldeo, OH. Seven grandchildren and a host of great and great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bolen will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday November 14, 2018 from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the West Alabama Memorial Gardens in Gu-Win. The visitation will be on Wednesday from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. (service time) at the funeral home. Brother C. W. Box will be the officiating minister. Mrs. Willodean Hubbert, age 87 of the Bazemore community in Fayette Co. passed away on Thursday, November 8th 2018, at the Sunset Manor Healthcare facility in Guin. Mrs. Hubbert was employed as a supervisor at RELTOC for 35 years until her disability in 1991. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ector and Ethel Hollingsworth, her husband, Silas Jr. Hubbert, a son, Steve Hubbert, two brothers, Gene and Billy Hollingsworth, a sister, Charlene McClung, and a great grandson Clint McDonald. She is survived by her son, Tommy C. (Sue) Hubbert of Glen Allen, grandchildren, Tina (Stanley) McDonald of Eldridge, Mike Hubbert and Jesi Nichols of Hubbertville, Jason Hubbert and Jennifer McCaleb of Hubbertville, and Stephanie (Stan) Boyd of Orlando, FL, great grandchildren, Ginny McDonald, Peyton McDonald, Haley (Levi) Autrey, Ashlyn (T.J.) Pratt, Emma Grace Boyd, Colin Boyd, Ethan Nichols, Emma Nichols, and Maci McCaleb, two sisters, Lurene Henderson, of Winfield, and Glenda Jones of Charlotte NC, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2018 from the Whites Chapel Church of Christ with burial to follow in the Adjoining Cemetery. Larry Alexander will be the officiating minister. The visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. (service time) on Saturday at the Church. Mr. Dennis Wayne Harrison, age 62 of Winfield, passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. Dennis was a 1974 graduate of Hubbertville High School, he worked for Fruit of the Loom Cotton Mill in Winfield for 20 years and Mercedes Benz for 10 years. Dennis enjoyed playing golf, woodworking, and watching Auburn football with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jared Harrison, his parents, R. P. Harrison and Rozie Lee Holcomb Harrison, and a brother- in- law, Michael Lynn. He is survived by his wife of almost 29 years, Donna Lynn Harrison, his children, Misty Pollard (Rusty), Michael Harrison (Kelly) and Candice Blanchard, grandchildren, Dawson Pollard, Darick Pollard, Mason Harrison, Emma Harrison, Jake Blanchard and Skyler Blanchard, a brother, Larry Harrison (Rebecca), father and mother in law, Charles and Ann Lynn, brother in law, Kevin Lynn (Tonya) and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. from the Winfield Freewill Baptist Church. The Visitation will be Sunday, November 11, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. (service time) at the church. Brother Kent Nelson and Brother Danny Williams will be the officiating ministers. Mrs. Doris Leona “Dot” Eads Johnson, age 75, was received into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father on Thursday, October 25, 2018 after an extended illness. Dot will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her, but we rejoice that she is at home in Heaven and completely healed.

Dot loved making people feel welcome, she enjoyed company and inviting friends and family into her beautifully decorated home. She taught Sunday school at her church for many years always focusing on children and young people. In her later years, she enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom were the joy of her life.

Mrs. Johnson was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she enjoyed being a housewife and raising her two wonderful children with her husband. She entered the workforce at Brilliant Bank in 1971 and retired from Listerhill Credit Union in 2005. She began Listerhill Credit Union with one typewriter, one desk, one chair, one file cabinet, and the determination to make this business a success. Dot delighted in getting to know her members, their families, and sharing in the joys, successes, and sorrows of each. She always remembered the names and faces of her members, and she was always glad to catch up with them any time she could.  

Dot is survived by her husband of 57 years, Albert “Joe” Johnson, who has been a rock of love and support. Joe never gave up hope that Dot would get better, he encouraged her every day. She is also survived by her children, Stan Johnson (Connie) of Guin, Lee Ann Bozeman (Sandy) of Lincolnton, NC, grandchildren, Bethany Hightower (Mark) of Guin, Ben Johnson (Melanie Abbott) of Guin, Brianna Taylor (Zach) of Las Vegas, NV, Timothy Bozeman of Lincolnton, NC, great-grandchildren, Hayden and Hudson Hightower of Guin, sister, Cora Lee Weeks of Winfield, sister in law Lillian Eads of Adger, Margaret Stone of Moody, Francis Johnson of Winfield, Patsy Johnson of Winfield and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family members and friends. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents, Grover and Flora Couch Eads, brothers, L.G. Eads, Ellis Eads, Doyle Eads. J.D. Eads, and a grandson, Jake Johnson.

A service of joy and celebration will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. from the Bowen funeral home chapel. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the West Alabama Memorial Gardens.
