Tenna Hill Sprinkle, age 69, of the Hubbertville community, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025, at UAB Medical Center. Born January 16, 1956, in Corbin, Kentucky, Tenna spent her childhood in Vero Beach, Florida, where she graduated from Vero Beach High School. Through mutual family members who served in the military, she was introduced to the love of her life, David Sprinkle. The two later married and moved to the Hubbertville community. In Hubbertville, Tenna worked in the mobile home industry and later as a seamstress in local garment plants. After retiring, she and David proudly owned and operated the Glen Allen Antique Store. Tenna found joy in the simple, meaningful things in life such as fishing, crocheting beautiful pieces, painting, and spending treasured time with her family. She was a longtime and beloved member of Berea Church of Christ.
Tenna is survived by her loving husband, David Sprinkle; her daughter, Christie Nix; her grandsons, Tyde and Draper Nix; her sister, Marlene Robbins (Rob); her brother-in-law, Johnny Sprinkle; her sister-in-law, Helen Botelho (Bo); her special friend, neighbor, and family member, Patricia Sprinkle; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Lou Ellison, and her siblings, Rosa Mae Hedrick, Edith Hickey, James Onzie Hill, Joan Wilson, Jeanette Ellison, and Brenda Elso.
Funeral services for Mrs. Sprinkle will be held on Saturday, December 6, at 2:00 p.m. from the Berea Church of Christ, with burial to follow in the adjoining cemetery. The visitation will be held on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., service time at the church.
