Hayden Zant Spiller, age 18 of Winfield, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at his residence. 

Hayden is a 2017 Winfield City High School graduate. He was a member of the Winfield football and basketball teams. 

He is survived by his parents, father, Ricky (Tina) Spiller of Winfield, mother Amy (Lance) Leduke of Winfield, grandparents Randall and Janice Vickery of Brilliant, Dean and Ann Dodd of Winfield, and Ann McBrayer of Winfield, sisters Kecia (Aaron) Evans of Homewood, Presley Guin of Winfield, Jennifer (Justin) Lacy of Winfield, and Cassie (Garrett) Tucker of Winfield, uncles Shane (Mercedi) McBrayer of Winfield and Cury (Kim) Vickery of Irondale, niece Kennah Beth Lacy of Winfield, and nephews Karter Lacy and Avery Tucker of Winfield, cousins Haydn and Harley McBrayer of Winfield.   

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Larry Spiller and Hubert Lymon McBrayer, his great grandparents, and a host of uncles and aunts. 

Visitation will be on Thursday, November 9, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. 

Funeral services are planned for Friday at 2:00 pm from First Baptist Church of Winfield.

Mrs. Ida Mae MillerMrs. Ida Mae Miller, age 88 of Guin, passed away Monday, November 6, 2017 in the Sunset Manor Health Care Facility in Guin. 

Mrs. Miller is preceded in death by her husband, Gene Miller, her parents, Joel Perren & Emma Webb Lawrence, sister Lillie Dykes and brothers, Floyd, Lonnie & Olen Lawrence. 

She is survived by her daughter, Linda (John W.) Evans, grandchildren, Craig Evans (Jill Grisham) and Ginger Evans, and 2 great grandchildren, Tanner (Hannah) Evans and Katie Evans. 

Funeral services for Mrs. Miller will be held Wednesday, November 8, 2017 from the Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. Brother Mike Beckon will be the officiating minister. 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Roy Ray ColeMr. Roy Ray Cole, age 78 of Guin, in the Twin community, passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at his residence. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Riley and Lottie Miller Cole, a son, Willie Cole, a grandson, Nathaniel Tittle, two sisters, Lillian Peters and Lorene Hughes, and two brothers, Garth Cole and Oliver Cole. 

Mr. Cole is survived by his wife of 55 years, Betty Fisher Cole of Twin, a daughter, Tammie (Nathan) Tittle of Twin, two sons, Roy Cole Jr of Twin, and Garth (Stephanie) Cole of Winfield, "honorary son" Wayne (Jennifer) Simmons, grandchildren, Tony (Meredith) Tittle of Hamilton, Jeremiah (Kayla) Cole of Winfield, R.J. (Amanda) Cole of Winfield, and Riley (Lori) Cole of Winfield, great grandchildren, Darcy and Desi Tittle, Joseph, Jennabella, Jaxon, Jerzie, Jase Lawson and Liam Cole, sisters, Pearlene Colburn of Hamilton, and Evelyn Williams of Russelville.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2017 from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Single Springs Cemetery in Franklin County. 

The visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

Scarlett Markham TidwellMrs. Scarlett Markham Tidwell, age 39 of Winfield, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2017 in Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham.

Scarlett was a 1996 graduate of Winfield City High School and a 2001 graduate of The University of Alabama.

Scarlett loved her job as an English teacher and her students at Winfield Middle School and also at Bevill State Community College.

She was very involved with her community by serving in the Winfield chapter of BPW, Southern Women’s Society, and in Children’s Church at Winfield First Baptist Church.

Scarlett was loved by so many and touched countless lives, but her greatest love was for her family. She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Daniel, and her 3 beautiful children, John Markham, Anna Claire and Allyn Caroline Tidwell, her parents, James & LaJuana Markham, her sister, Tara (Tony) Dickey, her grandmother, Dorothy Markham, mother in law, Gwen Tidwell (Bill), nieces and nephews, Caden & William Dickey, Dylan and Carlie Thacker, Tre, Jack, Peyton and Mavis Tidwell, brother in law, Junior (Rachel) Tidwell, sister in law, Crystal (Chris) Thacker and a host of aunts, uncles, and other relatives.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Mr. Junior Ray Markham, Mr. & Mrs. Troy & Katie Pate, father in law, Mr. Davy “Brunie” Tidwell and uncle, Mr. LaDon Pate.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Winfield First Baptist Church at 4:00 p.m. Dr. Charlie Ballew & Dr. Paul Murphy will be the officiating ministers. Honorary minister will be Brother C.W. Box.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 from 12:00 noon until 4:00 p.m. service time. Burial will follow in the Winfield City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the Citizens Bank of Winfield for a scholarship fund that will be created in her memory.
