Mrs. Melba East Webb, age 82 of Blanchard, OK formerly of Brilliant, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at the Norman Regional Hospital in Norman, OK. Melba was born to James and Vivian Shaw East on October 9, 1938 and was a 1957 graduate of Brilliant High School.

Mrs. Webb is survived by her husband of nearly 61 years, Donald Webb, son, Jeffery Webb (Jane) of Eufaula, OK, grandchildren, Jeffery, Jr., Jordan and Charles, great grandchildren, Rylee and Forrest, her brothers, Leslie East (Brenda) and Charles East (Reba), and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Vivian East and a brother, James East.

A graveside service from Mrs. Webb will be held on Monday, November 2, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. from the Brilliant Memorial Gardens. The visitation for Melba will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Bowen Funeral Home serving the Webb family.

Mr. Charles Robert Corbett, age 77  of the Wayside Community, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2020 at his residence. Robert was a 1962 graduate of Winfield City High School; he later worked in the steel fabricating business after moving his family to Birmingham. Robert was a loving husband and father, always supporting his wife and children in all their endeavors. He always prayed faithfully for each of them. Robert loved fishing, watching Alabama football, listening to old hymns, and country music; but nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his grandchildren and great granddaughter.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, James Edward and Ada Belle Bowen Corbett, his brothers, Allen Bowen, Tom Bowen, and sisters, Bettye Corbett Greene, and Martha Corbett Silas.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jettie Atkinson Corbett, his daughter, Robin Corbett Jackson, (Robby) of Hoover, AL, a son Robert Bryant Corbett, (Jenni) of Brunswick, GA, granddaughters, Halie Jackson Stewart (Wayne), Julianna Taylor Jackson, Madilyn Rose Corbett, Garrett Fisher Hosey, great granddaughter, Lilianna Jane Stewart, a sister, Coleen Bowen Bunn, brothers, Marion Corbett (Edwina), and Edward “Ed” Bowen, his fishing buddy, Thomas Hughes, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

The funeral service from Mr. Corbett will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with a graveside service and burial to follow in the Old Union Cemetery near Wayside. The visitation will be held on Sunday from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. service time at the funeral home. Mr. Mickey Ray Anderson, age 69 of Winfield, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his family. Mickey was born on October 3, 1951 in Winfield, AL to Tompie Anderson and Minnie Vickery Anderson. Mr. Anderson was a truck driver and owner/operator of Mickey Ray Anderson trucking company for over 40 years.

Mickey is survived by his wife of 30 years, Mickey Anderson, his children, Alan Anderson (Amanda), Amy Davis (Frank), Christy Eddy (Bruce) and Ben Franks, grandchildren, Megan Davis, Will Davis, Kristin Eddy, Blake Eddy and Mason Franks, sisters, Linda Mitchell (Dale), Lucy Green, Dean Baumgartner and Betty Fay Gosa, his brothers, Charles Anderson, Donald Anderson and Arlon “Bant” Anderson and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tompie and Minnie Anderson, sisters, Lily Mae Ashmore, Clestie Clark and Barbara Holder, brothers, Terry Anderson, Garland Anderson and an infant brother.

Funeral services for Mickey will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Griggs Place Cemetery. Harold Douglas Spillars, age 60, of Winfield passed away Saturday, October 24, 2020 at his residence. Mr. Spillars was born in Portsmouth, VA on February 5, 1960 to Harold Statsul Spillars and Joyce Lynn Bridger Spillars. Doug was owner / operator of Douglas Aviation in Olive Branch, MS for over 40 years.

Mr. Spiller is survived by his son, Cole Spillars, mother, Joyce Spillars, sisters, Leslie Laine Davis, Patricia Yvonne Spillars and Laurie Lynn Douglas (Gary), and his fiancé, Susan Gilbert and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Doug was preceded in death by his father, Harold Statsul Spillars.
