Betty Sue Marshall Harbin Moore, age 78, of Winfield, passed away Monday, September 23, 2019 in Diversicare Healthcare Center in Winfield. She was a 1959 graduate of Winfield City High School and liked to brag that she was the Valedictorian of her 6th grade class. Betty Sue drove bus # 7 for the Winfield City School system for many years until her retirement.  She owned a kennel and sold puppies all across the county.

Betty is survived by her children, Amy Harbin (Kelly Wood), Kim Townley, and Shane Harbin (Andrea) all of Winfield, eight grandchildren, Zann Townley, Zack Townley, Zandria Townley, Stephanie Estes (Cody Barnett), Heather Galbraith, Skyler Galbraith, Brook McCaleb and Kylee Harbin, seven great grandchildren, Hannah, Braxton, Townsley, Lexi, Laiken, Kaleigh and Kade and one great- great grandchild, Skyla, a brother, Terry Marshall (Syble) of Hoover, the father of her children, Ted Harbin, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, William D. Marshall and Catherine Adeline Colburn Marshall, her sisters, Willie Lee Hollis, Esta Ulmer and Mattie Lou Coker, her brothers, Johnny, Glenn, Joe Mac, Paul, Thomas and James Marshall, and Billy Gene and David Earl Nicholson.

Funeral services for Betty Sue will be held on Thursday September 26, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the West Alabama Memorial Gardens in Gu-Win. The visitation will be Thursday September 26, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. (service time). Brother Kent Nelson will be the officiating minister. Active pallbearers will be, Zann Townley, Zack Townley, Cody Barnett, Kelly Wood, and Mike Cary, and honorary pallbearer, Terry Townley.

Mrs. Willa Dean Leatch Hamlett, age 70, of Winfield, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2019 at her residence. She was born August 1, 1949 in Arkansas to Elmer and Mary Lou Leatch.

Mrs. Hamlett is survived by her husband of nearly 53 years, Gary L. Hamlett, her children, Tina Woodruff (Mark), Gary Hamlett (Kassie) and Hope Hamlett, nine grandchildren, Kimberly Andrews (Mitch), Belle Head (Dallas), Tanner Hamlett, Hunter Seagraves, Cole Hamlett, Nathan Head, Clay Jones, Colin Jones, Celia Grace Hamlett, three great grandchildren, Cooper Smith, Trevor Phillips and Blakelynn Head and a brother, Wayne Leatch of MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer Leatch and Mary Lou O’Mary Leatch, an infant daughter, Lilly Frances Hamlett, sisters, Delois Nation, Jean Long, and Barbara Riddell, brother, Harvey Wiggins and a nephew, Todd Riddell.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hamlett will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Union Chapel Cemetery. Mr. John Jackson "Jack" Weeks, age 93, of Winfield, passed away Saturday, September 21, 2019 in the Sunset Manor Health Care Facility in Guin. Jack was a member, Deacon, and Sunday School Teacher at Winfield First Baptist Church. He was a United States Army Veteran, serving our country during WWII and the Korean conflict. He was a member of the Local VFW Post, a fifty-year pin recipient of the Winfield Masonic Lodge, and owner/operator of Weeks Oldsmobile in Winfield for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Manon Weeks and Agnes Elizabeth Gilpin Weeks, sister, Kathryn Weeks Holliman, and a twin sister, Betty Ann Warlick. Jack is survived by his wife of 69 years, Marie Darby Weeks, a niece, Virginia Estill (Michael) of Guin, nephews, Frank Holliman (Sarah) of Sulligent, and Charles Warlick (Mary Claire) of Birmingham, and a host of great nieces, great nephews, and other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Weeks will be held on Monday, September 23, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. from the Winfield First Baptist Church. Dr. Paul Murphy will be the officiating minister. Burial will follow in West Alabama Memorial Gardens in Gu-Win. Visitation will be Monday, September 23, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. (service time) at the church. Mr. William Hardy Robinson, age 84, of Guin, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at his residence. Hardy was born October 1, 1934 in Walker County to Benjamin Franklin Robinson and Lucy Johnsey Robinson. Mr. Robinson was a good Christian man and Pastor. Hardy pastored many churches in and all around Alabama, but most recently taught Sunday School at the Guin First Baptist Church.

Mr. Robinson is survived by his wife, Juanice Simmons Robinson of Guin, two daughters, Brenda Fitts (Harvey) of McCalla, and JoAnne Bowen (Heath) of Alabaster, a son, Robert Robinson of Smokerise, stepchildren, Tammy Silas (Randy) and Tim Smith (Vicki) all of Guin, a brother, Leo Robinson (Linda) of McCalla, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, his church family and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Lucy Robinson, his wife, Joan Ezell Robinson, a sister, Mary Francis Robinson, and a daughter in law, Marsha Robinson.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 19, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. from the Guin First Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Gardens in Adamsville, AL. The visitation will be Thursday, September 19, 2019 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Guin First Baptist Church. Brother C. W. Box and Brother Kenny Hatcher will be the officiating ministers.
