Mrs. Millie Bourland Thompson, age 78 of Brilliant, passed away Friday, June 5, 2020 at the Diversicare Health Care Center in Winfield. Mrs. Thompson was born on March 19, 1942 to Bill Thompson and Bessie Estes Thompson in Marion County Alabama. She was a member of the Brilliant Church of God for many years.

Mrs. Thompson is survived by her husband of 61 years, Harold Keith Thompson of Brilliant, her children, Lisa Ann Thompson of Brilliant, Terry Allen Thompson of Guin and Carolyn Denise Stough of Winfield, nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her children, Randy Keith Thompson and Roxie Lynn Johnson, her parents, Bill and Bessie Bourland and her siblings, Willie (Buckly) Bourland, Carlton Bourland, Charlene Holcomb, David Bourland and Debra Franks.

The funeral service for Mrs. Thompson will be held on Monday, June 8, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Mt. Pisgah cemetery. A visitation will be held on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. service time at the funeral home. Brother Greg Webb will be the officiating minister. Mrs. Dorothy June Tarwater Zuber, age 79 of Winfield, passed away Friday, June 5, 2020, at her residence.

Mrs. Zuber is survived by her four daughters, Elizabeth McDonald (Robert) of TX, Lori Ann Philippi of TX, Cyndy Tipper of Haleyville and Donna Bearchett (Gary) of Sulligent, four sons, Charles Zuber of Winfield, Clifford Zuber (Kathy) of TX, Curtis Zuber of Guin and Carl Zuber of TX, fifteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, sisters, Bellvie Haney, Becky Hubbert (Mike), Janice Ingram, Betty Tarwater and one brother, James Tarwarter. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wyman Tarwater and Louise Nix Tarwater, her husband, Cecil Zuber, a daughter, Patricia Zuber and a son Clayton Zuber, sisters, Shelby Tarwarter and Belinda Tarwarter and brothers, Billy Joe Tarwarter and Milton Tarwarter.

Funeral service for Mrs. Zuber will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Fairview Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. service time at the funeral home. Brother Eddy Ayers will be the officiating minister. Jalex Austin Mansell, 9-month-old son of Jacob and Tiffany Pollock Mansell of Winfield, passed away Monday, June 1, 2020 at the Northwest Medical Center in Winfield.  Jalex was born on August 24, 2019 in Tuscaloosa, AL. 

He is survived by his parents, Jacob and Tiffany Pollock Mansell of Winfield, a brother, Lee Pollock, grandparents, James (JJ)  Pollock of Hamilton, Debra Sanford (Steven) of Winfield, James Mansell of WA, great grandfather, Silas Mansell of Hamilton, aunts and uncles, Ashley Roland, Lindsey Logan (Jamiel) Brianna Hubbert (Brandon), Dylan Mansell, Drake Sanford, Tasha Rainey (Kyle) all of Winfield, great aunts and uncles, Dewayne Mansell (Angie) of Hamilton, Jerry Baker (Bobby) of Winfield, April Homer (Micheal) of MS, and Earl Pollock a host of cousins and special friends.  Jalex was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mechelle Pollock, great grandparents, Jerry and Doris Baker, uncle, Cameron Roland, great uncles, Eddie Pollock and Jessie Pollock, great grandmothers, Mary Lee Pollock and Juanita Lowery.

A funeral service for Jalex was held on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Fairview Cemetery.  Tom Nix was the officiating minister.  The visitation was from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 5, 2020 at the funeral home.  Bowen Funeral Home of Winfield serving th Mansell family. 

Mr. Daniel Thomas Treas, age 83 of Brilliant, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.

Dan was preceded in death by his wife, Pat Treas, stepson, Jeffery Corkren, his parents, Virgil Lex Treas and Hazel Mildred Cunningham Treas, one brother and one sister. He is survived by his stepdaughter, Jada Tittle (Mike) of Dogtown, stepson, Al Corkren (Stephanie) of Brilliant, grandchildren, Brandon Samuals (Amber) of Dogtown, Cody Corkren (Amber) of Brilliant, Ethan Corkren (Brooke) of Brilliant, Monica and Chelsea Corkren of Mobile, twelve great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

A private family graveside service will be held at Brilliant Memorial Garden. Bowen Funeral Home serving the Treas family.
