Janet Leigh Cantrell, age 49, of Winfield, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2019 in the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Janet was born October 8, 1969 in Winfield, AL to Jerry and Lou Ann Cantrell. She was a 1988 Winfield City High School graduate.

Janet is survived by her children, Brooke Cantrell and Dillion Lott, her mother, Lou Ann Cantrell, brother, Jason Cantrell and niece, Lauren Cantrell and nephew, Jordan Cantrell, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service for Janet will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Cooper Cemetery near Hamilton. Mrs. Deloris McDonald Dozier Deas, age 63 of Demopolis formerly of Winfield, passed away Monday, June 3, 2019 at her residence with her husband, children and other family members by her side. Deloris was born November 22, 1955 in Boligee, Alabama to William Robert McDonald and Mable Bashie Weaver McDonald. She worked for several years at Healthtex garment plant in Guin, AL until it’s closing, she then pursued a career in nursing and earned her LPN degree. She worked for several years at the Fayette County Nursing Home before moving to Demopolis where she worked for five years with Home Healthcare and retired from the Marengo County Nursing Home in Linden. She is a member of Range Line Baptist Church in Linden, AL.   Deloris enjoyed spending time with her family, and friends. She enjoyed going to car shows, yard sales, thrift store shopping, and antiques picking. She was also an excellent seamstress making items for family, and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Tommy Deas, son, David Dozier (Shana), daughter, April Tidwell (Tony), five grandchildren, Evan Dozier, Daisy Smith, Ronnie Minor, Miles Dozier, and Grayson Minor, three sisters, Lanetta Fowler (Steve), Gwen Tidwell (Bill), Vera Dodd (Ricky), three brothers, Owens McDonald (Tammy), Chesley McDonald (Manuella), Henry McDonald (Margene), two sisters in law, Joyce Prince (JW), Yvonne Walters (Ed), and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and other close family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Robert McDonald and Mable Weaver McDonald, and a sister, Venisha Stanford.

The funeral service for Deloris will be held on Friday, June 7, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel in Winfield with burial to follow in Morris Cemetery near Hubbertville. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. (service time) at the funeral home on Friday. Brother Randall Smith, and Larry Alexander will be the officiating ministers. Mrs. Hazel Smith Hayes Bryant, age 89, of Winfield formerly of the Wayside Community, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2019 at her residence. Mrs. Bryant was born January 10, 1930 to W. D. Smith and Viola Morris Smith. She was a 1948 graduate of Hubbertville High School.

Mrs. Bryant is survived by her daughters, Karen Manasco (David), Cynthia Hayes, and Sandra Randolph (Randell), grandchildren, Brandon Manasco (Brandy), Brian Manasco, Chris Smith (Kristy), Jeremy Randolph (Jolie), Reagan Hamric (Josh), twelve great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren, step sons, Jimmy Hayes and Thomas Bryant, her lifelong friends, Mrs. Wanda Bly and Mrs. Wanda Caine. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Dilmus “W. D.” Smith and Viola Morris Smith, her husbands, Carl Melton, J. D. Hayes, and B. E. Bryant, an infant son Melton, and daughter, Carla Angelyn Melton, a grandson, Jeffery Keith Smith, brother, William Harold Smith , sister, Sarah Joyce Smith Ward, a niece, Ann Ward, two step daughters, Doris Miles and Nell Hayes and a step son, Jerry Hayes.

Funeral service for Mrs. Bryant will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Siloam Baptist Church Cemetery. The visitation will be on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. (service time) at the funeral home. Delbert Preuninger and Mike Beckon will be the officiating ministers. Mr. Dennis Ray Ivey, age 61 of the Whites Chapel community, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2019 in the Covenant Care Unit of Providence Hospital in Mobile. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cleo Ivey and Emma Sue Whitehead Sexton, and two brothers, Gary Jones and Bobby Whitehead.  Mr. Ivey is survived by his children, Angela Ivey of Mobile, Dana Ivey (Josh Duffy) of Florence, and Brian Ivey (Wendy) of Nauvoo, thier mother, Nancy Ivey of Florence, his sister, Susan Dozier (Jimmy Dale) of Brierfield, grandchildren, Natasha Enis, Demetrius Enis, Ava Burquez, Brayden Duffy, Brooklin Bouie, Tessa Ivey and Levii Ivey, three great grandchildren, Camden Wells, King Ming, and Ryilan Ming, niece, Melissa Harris (Jason), and nephew, Brandon Dozier of Brierfield. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, May 30th from the Bowen Funeral Home chapel with burial to follow in the Tidwell Chapel Cemetery.  The visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon (service time) on Thursday at the funeral home.  Bowen Funeral Home of Winfield serving the Ivey family.
