Spiller learned to play piano and sing, later learning to play a variety of musical instruments, including the guitar, drums, banjo, bugle and harmonica. He joined his first band when he was 12 years old, and spent many years as an on the road musician, playing with various groups. Following that, he served as Pastor at Mt. Calvary Freewill Baptist Church from 1980-present, totally 45 years in the Lord’s service.
