Mr. Gary Eugene Waldschmidt, age 75 of Brilliant, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2021 in the Walker Baptist Medical Center in Jasper. Mr. Waldschmidt is survived by his son, Lorin J. Waldschmidt, sister, Ann Prothro, his best friend, Glenda Robinson and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherin Waldschmidt and his parents, Joseph and Florence Hertel Waldschmidt. A memorial service for Mr. Waldschmidt will be held on Wednesday, July 28, 2021from the Brilliant Senior Center from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Bowen Funeral Home of Winfield serving the Waldschmidt family.


Mrs. Carolyn Jeanette Neal Webster, age 74 of the Hubbertville Community, passed away on Monday, July 19, 2021 in the Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham.
Carolyn was born on September 18, 1946 in Lamar County to Stanley and Bessie Pugh Neal. She was a member of the Winfield Church of Christ and was a Hostess at Jack’s Family Restaurant in Winfield for many years.
Carolyn is survived by her husband of 56 years, Phillip Webster, son, Scott Webster (Myra) of Red Bay, daughter, Jill Graham (Matt) of Hoover, four grandchildren, Mason and Abby Webster and Connor and Mattie Grace Graham, a brother, Kenneth Neal, and a host of other family members and friends.
Mrs. Webster was preceded in death by her infant son, Keith Webster, and her parents, Stanley Neal, and Bessie Pugh Neal.
A graveside service will be held for Mrs. Webster on Wednesday July 21, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. from the Berea Church of Christ Cemetery with Scott Webster and Ted Burleson serving as officiating ministers.

Mr. Jerry Paul Aaron, age 82 of Winfield, passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at his residence.
Jerry attended Kingdom Faith Church and was owner/operator of J & J Body Shop in Brilliant. He enjoyed spending time with his friends drinking coffee and telling stories at his shop. He liked watching old westerns and restoring vintage cars and trucks.
Mr. Aaron is survived by the love of his life, Jenny Scott and her son, Greg Scott (Wendy) of Moundville, his grandson, Zane Scott, mother-in-law, Lois Gilstrap, brother -in-law, Jody Gilstrap (Allyson) of Birmingham nieces, Anna, Abby Gilstrap and nephew, Julian Gilstrap, and a host of other relatives and close friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Oma Lee Aaron, aunts, Pearl Sumner and Hazel Aaron, cousins, Dan Sumner, and James Ingle.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. (service time) with military honors presented. A private burial will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2021 from the Littleville Cemetery near Haleyville. Bowen Funeral Home of Winfield serving the Aaron family.
