Mrs. Mintie Belle Tucker, age 84, of the Whites Chapel community, passed away Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011, in the DCH Regional Health Center in Fayette. Mrs. Tucker was a member of the Whites Chapel Church of Christ for 66 years. She was preceded in death by her Husband of 67 years, Shannon Tucker, her parents, Andrew and Ludie Tittle McDonald, Granddaughter, Windy Diane McDonald Tucker, great grandson, Clinton McDonald, son-in-law, Harold McDonald, 5 brothers and 4 sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Frances Tucker McDonald (Truman) Herren, grandchildren, Keith (Lisa) McDonald, Stanley (Tim) McDonald, Amanda (Kenny) Tranum, great grandchildren, Shannon LaShae (Bobby) Withers, Ginny McDonald, Molley Tucker, Daniel McDonald, Keela Tranum, Peyton McDonald, Tre Tranum, and a sister, Florence Johnston. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 15, from the Whites Chapel Church of Christ with burial to follow in the adjoining cemetery. Mr. Randal "Ranny" Dodd, age 71 of Winfield, passed away Monday evening, October 10, 2011 at the DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. Graveside services for Mr. Dodd will held on Wednesday at an undisclosed time.
Mrs. Linda Gail Lee Hussain, age 65, of the Brilliant and Haleyville communities, passed away on Saturday Oct. 8, 2011 at the Lakeland Community Hospital in Haleyville. She was the Daughter of Horace Jackson Lee and Opalene Jack Lee. She was preceded in death by her parents and a baby sister, Joyce Ann Lee. Survivors include her son, John Omar Hussain from Orange Co. California, brother, Jerry Lee, sisters, Bonnie Markham and Shirley (Jimmy) Smith, all From Winfield, and a host of nieces nephews and other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 12, at Boartush Cemetery in Haleyville. Bowen Funeral Home Directing.
