Mr. Homer Plunkett, age 88 of Berwyn, IL formerly of Winston County Alabama, passed away, Wednesday, May 15, 2019 in the Foster G. McGaw Hospital in, Proviso Township, IL.

Mr. Plunkett was born on January 17, 1931, the twelfth of thirteen children, to Dyer Plunkett and Martha Dunn Plunkett, in Winston County, AL. Homer grew up in the Winston County area and attended school in Lynn, AL. On November 28, 1953 Homer married the love of his life, Miss Winnie Jo McDonald from Fayette County, AL, just before entering into the United Sates Army three months later.  Mr. Plunkett was a factory worker in Illinois for many years, he was also an all-around handyman, he could do almost anything, from painting and electrical work to repairing a car. He was a member of Berwyn Church of Christ in Berwyn, IL. Mr. Plunkett loved his family his friends and a great cup of coffee.

Mr. Plunkett was preceded in death by his parents, and eleven siblings. He is survived by his wife of over 65 years, Winnie McDonald Plunkett, a brother, Thurman Plunkett of Adamsville, AL, a sister in law, Margaret Sue McDonald Sodaro and her husband Lee of Berwyn, IL a brother in law, Earl McDonald and his wife Merle of Winfield, AL, and a host of niece, nephews and other relatives and friends.

A memorial service for Mr. Plunkett will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 12:00 noon from the Bowen Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in the West Alabama Memorial Gardens in Gu-Win, military honors will be presented at the gravesite. James Wyers will be the officiating minister. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. service time. Bowen Funeral Home serving the Plunkett family.

Tammy Renee Keebler Griffin, age 49, of Guin, passed away Monday, June 10, 2019 in the Northwest Medical Center in Winfield. Tammy was born February 8, 1970 to Charles Keebler and Fannie Nix Keebler. She is survived by her children, Christopher “Chris” Keebler of Guin, Stephen Tyler Sparks of Fayette and Brandon Griffin of Guin, grandchildren, Devan, Tanner, Aleah and Aubrey, sisters, Donna Keebler of Winfield, Sherry Madison of Guin, Sandy Guin of Guin a brother, Jeff Keebler of Birmingham. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Fannie Keebler, sister, Ann Irvin and brother, Chuck Keebler. A memorial service for Tammy will be announced at a later date. Dianne Tucker Davis, age 71, of Winfield, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2019 in the Walker Baptist Medical Center in Jasper. She is survived by her sisters, Carlyon Harrison (Delton) of Bankston, Sarah Henderson (Paul) of Winfield, Martha Haney (Ellis) of Fayette, Margaret Farrar of Winfield, Becky Dodd of Cullman, grandchildren, Tenille Pritchett (Gary) of Hamilton, Jessica Bryant (Ricky) of Warrior, Brandon Davis (Brooke) of Winfield, Bridgett Tucker (Justin Scott) of Russellville, ten great grandchildren and her uncle I. J. Whitehead of Winfield.    Dianne was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred Miles and Ila May Coy Whitehead, stepfather, Junior Tucker, her children, Melissa Cook, Dewayne Tucker, Greg Tucker, Amanda Tucker and a grandson, Jimmy Tucker.  Funeral service for Dianne will be held on Sunday, June 9, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel in Winfield with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 pm (service time) at the funeral home. Janet Leigh Cantrell, age 49, of Winfield, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2019 in the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Janet was born October 8, 1969 in Winfield, AL to Jerry and Lou Ann Cantrell. She was a 1988 Winfield City High School graduate.

Janet is survived by her children, Brooke Cantrell and Dillion Lott, her mother, Lou Ann Cantrell, brother, Jason Cantrell and niece, Lauren Cantrell and nephew, Jordan Cantrell, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service for Janet will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Cooper Cemetery near Hamilton.
