Mrs. Ramona Rae Butler, age 57 of Guin, passed away on Friday, Dec. 9, 2016 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
Ramona was a graduate of Brilliant High School, and served the Marion County area for many years as First Responder and Medic.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Prentice and Lucille Webb Burleson. She is survived by her husband James "Jimmy" Butler, a son, Travis (Farrah) Garrison of Winfield, a daughter, Elizabeth (Paul) Carter of Winfield, grandchildren, Austin Carter, Jordan Garrison, Regan Pendley, and Ty Garrison, a sister, Sharon (Doug) Graham of Vernon, and special friends, Will and Angie Riley, Tommy Knight, and Angie Stricklin.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 13, from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Fairview Cemetery. Dr. Paul Murphy will officiate.
The visitaton will be from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. (service time) on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Estelle Stricklin, age 95 of Hoover, formerly of Brilliant, passed away on December 6, 2016 at Brookwood Hospice in Shelby County. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Lillian Myers Nelson, husband, Alvin Stricklin, a daughter, Pat McGuire Cole, sisters, Annell Spiller, Willie Kimbrell, and Hazel Nelson, and 2 brothers, Clyde Nelson and H.B. Nelson. She is survived by her daughter, Jean Burnett (Walter) of Hoover, grandchildren, Alan McGuire (Carla) of Louisiana, and Jerri Burnett of Moody, great grandchildren, Sean McGuire, Jameson McGuire, Melissa McGuire, Mac McGuire, and Shae Ganus, great great grandchildren, Emmersen, Chandler, and Bennett Ganus, sisters, Donna Doss of Brilliant, Carolyn Spiller (Lonzo) of Pleasant Grove, and Flo Reynolds of Decatur, and 2 brothers, Bob Nelson (Norma) of Guin, and Wayne Nelson (Clara Faye) of Guin. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 9, from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the West Alabama Memorial Gardens in Gu-Win. James Ray Pridmore and Bryan Spiller will officiate. The visitation will be from 12:00 noon unitl 1:00 p.m. (service time) on Friday at the funeral home. Matthew Joseph Beasley, age 20 of Winfield, passed away December 1, 2016. Matthew was born on December 21, 1995.He was a 2014 graduate of Winfield City High School, a 2016 graduate of Bevill State, and was currently enrolled at the University of North Alabama. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Lilly Gann. He is survived by his parents, Doug and Charlotte Beasley, his sister, Brooke Beasley, grandparents, Alvin "Bunk" and Linda Beasley, all of Winfield, and grandmother, Elizabeth Clinton of Pigeon Forge, TN. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 4, 2016 from the Winfield First United Methodist Church with burial to follow in Scufflegrit Cemetery near Twin. Brother Jerry Gann will officiate. Alex Smothers, Will Addison, Jordan Williams, Ryan Spann, Zac Hallmark, and Jake Dozier will serve as active pall bearers. Mr. Leburn Roger "Rod" Goodwin, age 70 of Winfield, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Northwest Medical Center in Winfield. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sherolyn Ann "Sweetie" Goodwin, his parents, Adell and Rufus Goodwin, a sister, Joyce Franks, and 3 brothers, Ray Goodwin, Rufus Roy "Bunt" Goodwin, and Larry Goodwin. Roger is survived by his children, Phillip (Amy) Goodwin, Patty Goodwin Berryhill, Paula Goodwin Turner, and Pam Braden, a sister, Faye Beasley, grandchildren, Terrance Berryhill, Joshua (Katie) Berryhill, Jessica Turner, Amanda (Scott) Travis, Dillion (Neenah) Braden, Timmy Braden, Eliza Goodwin, and Luke Goodwin, great grandchildren, Hayden Turner, Emiley Travis, Matthew Travis, and Anslee Berryhill, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 2, 2016 from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Zion Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Kent Nelson and Bro.
