Mr. Johnny Wayne NicholsMr. Johnny Wayne Nichols, age 52, of Fayette passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2017. 

Johnny was the owner of Nichols Burial Service and Fire Chief of the Lawrence Mill Volunteer Fire Department. 

Johnny is preceded in death by his mother, Emma Dean McGuff Nichols and a brother, Jimmy Dale Nichols and is survived by his wife, Lori Nichols, son, Colton Nichols, his father J.M. (Martha) Nichols, brothers, Jerry (Sabrina) Nichols of Fayette and Joey (Janet) Nichols of Tennessee, mother and father in law, Terry & Patricia Stripling, sister in law, Tina McGuff of Fayette, niece, Nicole (Kyle)Clark, nephews, Trey, Tori and Chance Nichols and his little buddy, Knox Clark. 

A graveside service will be held for Johnny on Friday, September 22, 2017 from the Hubbertville Church of Christ Cemetery at 11:00 a.m.

Mrs. Jimmie Lou Marcum, age 98 of Guin, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Sunset Manor Nursing Healthcare Facility in Guin.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, J. Hollis Webster and Bryan Marcum, four sisters, and one brother. She is survived by her children, Wanda (Randy) Wakefield, Gail (Jim) Harris, and James (Elaine) Webster, grandchildren, Todd (Cindy) Wakefield, Brett (Kim) Wakefield, Jimmy Webster, William (Kim) Webster, Susan (Buddy) Goertz, and Karen Hilbun, step grandchildren Connie Bunker, Chele (Wade) Miles, James (Christy) Harris, and a host of step children, step grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, September 23rd at Berea Church of Christ with burial to follow in the adjoining cemetery. The visitation will be from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Saturday at the church.

Mr. Sidney Ryan Hicks, age 84 of Jasper (Boldo Community), passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at his residence.

Mr. Hicks was born on September 17, 1933 in Walker Co. a son of A. M. Hicks and Thursey Ryan Hicks. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Ryan Hicks, one grandson, Tyler Reese Hicks, son-in-law, Roger O’Shields, brother, Oather Hicks, and sisters, Oneida King, Derotha Cooner and Dorothy King. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Joyce McCoy Hicks of Jasper, one daughter, Rebecca Hicks O’Shields of Jasper, 1 son, Leslie Hicks and his wife, Kathy of Curry, one grandson, Britton O’Shields of Northport, one granddaughter, Makenzie Hicks of Curry, two great-grandchildren, Brileigh and Ryan O’Shields, and one sister, Birdis Jones of Birmingham.

Funeral service will be held Friday, September 22, 2017 at 2:00 PM from the Boldo First Baptist Church. Alfred Hartley, Jerry Irwin and L.G. Jones will officiate.

Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery with Bowen Funeral Home of Winfield directing the service. Visitation will be Friday 12 Noon until 2:00 PM at the church.

Mr. Ronald Max Noles, Age 72 of Jasper, formerly of the Winfield and Brilliant areas, passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George Noles and Evelyn Snow Noles, a daughter, Terase Ann Noles, and a brother, Billy Charles Noles. He is survived by his wife, Linda Stone Noles, daughters, Rhonda Lee Noles, Angela A. Padbury (Harry), and Amanda Noles McLain (Chris), all of Jasper, grandchildren, Destani Araya Noles, Kalley Ciarra Noles, Morgan Taylor Jones (Justin), Garron Cade Wates, Ronald Dean Leatherwood, Aaron Max Leatherwood, Justus Selon Noles, Noah Lee Noles, Cole Ray McLain, Makala Brook McLain, Lauren Danyel Wates, Eric Matthew Wates, Justin Taylor Padbury, Lindsey Gayle Padbury, Jake Patrick Padbury, and Jackson Ross Padbury, great grandchildren, Gracelyn Araya Almanza, Ryan Luke Lawson, sisters, Sherry Ann Brown (Jim) and Sheila Faye Doll (Bill), and a brother, Kenneth Ray Noles.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 21, from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Fulton Bridge Cemetery near Hamilton. Bro. Aaron Gann will officiate. The visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
