Mr. Earnest Jiles, age 88, of the Glen Allen community, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at St Vincent's Medical Center in Birmingham. Earnest was a 1948 graduate of Praco High School near West Jefferson. Mr. Jiles was employed by AO Smith Company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin as a foreman with over 33 years of service, and served in the United States Army for 3 years during the Korean War. He was married to Audrey Ham Jiles for over fifty-nine years, they had two children, Annette and Ronell. Mr. Jiles was preceded in death by his wife Audrey, his parents, Willie Jiles and Catherine Iverson Jiles, and five brothers. He is survived by his children, Annette Jiles of Madison, AL, and Ronell Jiles of Meridian, MS, brother, Ananias Jiles of Lansing, MI, special friend, Elaine Steward of St. Louis, MO, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Jiles will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. from the Winfield Church of Christ at 151 Apache St. Winfield, AL 35594, burial will follow in the West Alabama Memorial Gardens in Gu-Win. The visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. (service time) at the church. The repast will be held at Piney Grove Church of Christ, 731 Co. Walter Harrold Doss, age 68, of Winfield, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2019 at DCH Reginal Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. Mr. Doss was born April 28, 1950 to Wilson Doss and Nell Williams Doss. He is survived by his two sons, Cassidy Doss (Laura) and Cameron Doss (Kelly) both of Miami, Florida, one brother, William “Bill” Doss (Pat) of Winfield, three sisters, Carolyn Zimmerman, of Los Angeles, CA, Jennifer Seig (Jim) of Los Angeles, CA and Phyllis Steel of Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Nell Doss, and three brothers, Gary Doss, James Doss, and Woody Doss and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Ms. Annell Wallace Hall, age 77, of Moundville formerly of Guin, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2019 at her daughters’ residence in Moundville.

Annell was born in Guin, AL on February 2, 1942 to Elmer and Annie Mae Hall and retired from the 3M Company in Guin, AL after many years of service.

She is survived by her two daughters, Stephanie Lynn Atkinson (Shane) of Moundville, AL and Shelia Denise Bankhead (Don) of Tuscaloosa, AL, two granddaughters, India Tat (Dean) of Tuscaloosa and Stesha Bankhead of Tuscaloosa, a sister, Nettie Lee Cooper (Charles) of Detroit, MI and special friend, Rudolph McCollum. Ms. Hall was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer Hall and Annie Mae Crump Hall, three sisters, Mary Jean Burke, Wilma Jean Bradford and Eva Lean Hollis, and three brothers, Leon Hall, John Davis “Pete” Hall and Craig Ramsey.

Funeral services for Ms. Hall will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. from the Piney Grove Church of Christ near Bazemore with burial to follow in the Beaver Creek Cemetery in Guin. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. (service time) at the church. Bro. Dewayne Tapscott will be the officiating minister.

Mr. Grady Mack Bowen age 82 of Wayside, passed away on Saturday April 13, 2019 in the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.  Mr. Bowen was a 1955 graduate of Winfield City High School and retired from 3M in Guin.  He is survived by his two daughters, Nina Bowen Thompson (Bill) of Winfield and Debra Bowen Lang (Alan) of Wayside, grandchildren, Bonneil May (Chad), Alana Reeves (John) and Anthony McCaleb (Lisa), great grandchildren, Gracelynn McCaleb, Macon May, Rhett Reeves, Peyton McCaleb, Ada May, step great grandchildren, Ewan and Ethan Henson, sister, Lila Rollan (Keith), and a brother, Brant Bowen (Fran).  He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam Bowen and Junia Perry Bowen, his wife, Jeanette Nicholson Bowen, a sister, Ila Bowen, and a great grandson, Marcus McCaleb.  Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in the West Alabama Memorial Gardens in Gu-Win.
