Mrs. Anita Joyce McCoy Hicks, age 87 of Jasper, passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at the Walker Baptist Medical Center in Jasper, Alabama. Mrs. Hicks was the Valedictorian of the 1951 class of Addison High School. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Sidney Hicks, a son, Ryan Hicks, a grandson, Tyler Hicks, her parents, C.W. and Rosa McCoy, a sister, Tina Dubberly, a brother Tommy McCoy, and a son in law, Roger O’Shields. She is survived by her daughter Rebecca O’Shields, her son, Leslie (Kathy) Hicks, grandson, Britton O’Shields, granddaughter, Makenzie Manasco (Ryan), two great grandchildren, Brileigh and Ryan O’Shields, her sisters, Jane Knight and Bonita McCombs, a brother, Kenney McCoy (Shirley), two sisters in law, Joyce McCoy and Birdis Jones and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews’ other relatives and close friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 26 from the Sumiton Church of God with burial to follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Jasper. The visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. (service time) on Tuesday at the church. Bowen Funeral Home of Winfield serving the Hicks family.

Mrs. Frances D. Norris, age 84 of Winfield passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2021. A graveside service for Mrs. Norris will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021 from the Musgrove Chapel Cemetery at 4:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. (service time) at the cemetery.

 

Mrs. Mary Frances Bourland, age 77 of Winfield, passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2021. Mrs. Bourland was born in Nauvoo, Al on September 8, 1943 to Noah and Cecil Kennedy. She is survived by her sons, Willie Bourland, Jr. (Mary) of Carbon Hill, Gary Bourland (Peggy Sue) and Greg Bourland (Marie) both of Winfield, 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and a brother, Dewayne Kennedy (Darlene) of Carbon Hill a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Frances was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Willie “Buddy” Bourland Sr, a daughter, Nancy Darlene Tucker, a grandson, Justin Tucker, her parents, Noah and Cecil Kennedy and a sister, Margie Ann Tucker.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bourland will be held on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Goldmine Cemetery in Brilliant. The visitation will be held on Saturday, January, 23, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Martha Randolph, age 81 of Hubbertville passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 in the Sunset Manor Health Care facility in Guin.

Martha was born in Hubbertville, Al on June 27, 1939 to Belton and Beulah Box. She was a member of the Whites Chapel Church of Christ and a 1957 graduate of Hubbertville High School. Martha was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved wholeheartedly, to know her was to love her. If you had the privilege and opportunity to know Mrs. Martha, you could consider yourself blessed.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa McDonald (Keith) of Hubbertville, son-in-law, Ronnie Sprinkle (Wendy) of Hubbertville, grandchildren, Ronnie Rena Brasher (Daniel) of Hubbertville, Ryan Sprinkle (Lauren) of Alpharetta, GA, Daniel McDonald of Chattanooga, TN, great grandchildren, Lara Beth, Malcolm “Mac” Daniel, Robert “Bo” Randolph Brasher and Sela Faith Sprinkle, nieces, nephews, church family, loving family and caregivers of Sunset Manor Heath Care and friends. Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Clifton Randolph, a daughter, Pamela Sue Sprinkle and her parents, Belton Echford and Beulah Inez Hallmark Box.

A private family graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021 from the Berea Church of Christ Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Sunset Manor Health Care in Guin, AL.
