Mrs. Martha Randolph, age 81 of Hubbertville passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 in the Sunset Manor Health Care facility in Guin.

Martha was born in Hubbertville, Al on June 27, 1939 to Belton and Beulah Box. She was a member of the Whites Chapel Church of Christ and a 1957 graduate of Hubbertville High School. Martha was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved wholeheartedly, to know her was to love her. If you had the privilege and opportunity to know Mrs. Martha, you could consider yourself blessed.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa McDonald (Keith) of Hubbertville, son-in-law, Ronnie Sprinkle (Wendy) of Hubbertville, grandchildren, Ronnie Rena Brasher (Daniel) of Hubbertville, Ryan Sprinkle (Lauren) of Alpharetta, GA, Daniel McDonald of Chattanooga, TN, great grandchildren, Lara Beth, Malcolm “Mac” Daniel, Robert “Bo” Randolph Brasher and Sela Faith Sprinkle, nieces, nephews, church family, loving family and caregivers of Sunset Manor Heath Care and friends. Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Clifton Randolph, a daughter, Pamela Sue Sprinkle and her parents, Belton Echford and Beulah Inez Hallmark Box.

A private family graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021 from the Berea Church of Christ Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Sunset Manor Health Care in Guin, AL.

Verlon Jackson Dozier, Jr. better known as Jacky, age 66 of the Hubbertville Community passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at his residence.

Jacky was born in Fayette County, Alabama on February 23, 1954 to Verlon and Nannie Bee Dozier. He was a member of the Berea Church of Christ and attended Hubbertville School. Jacky worked most of his life farming in the fields of Hubbertville and Fayette County with his father, brothers and son Jack. He worked with Fayette County Co-Op and Fayette Ag. for many years driving a spreader truck. Jacky loved tractor pulling and garden tractor pulling with his, sons, brothers and nephews. He enjoyed hunting and fishing but most of all he loved his family and spending time with all of them.

Jacky is survived by his wife, Annette Tucker Dozier, his children, Jack Dozier (Mindy), Brittney Clark (Drue), Brian Jackson (Lindsey) and Coby Dozier (Kara), grandchildren, Morgan, Kane, Ella Jace, Kye and Timber Jace, his sisters, Bobbie McCraw (Bill), Janice Owens (Steve), Karen Tucker (Dennis), brothers, Jimmy Dale (Susan), Wayne, Andy and Donald Dozier, in-laws, Jimmy and Amelia Tucker, sisters-in-law, Barbara Dozier, Glennette Barnes (Rusty), brother-in-law, Wade Tucker (Gina), a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other close family and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Ashley Nicole Dozier, parents, Verlon and Nannie Bee Dozier, a brother, James Allen Dozier and two nephews, Tyler and Derrick Barnes.

Funeral services for Jacky will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Berea Church of Christ Cemetery. Mr. Landon Farris, age 84 of Winfield, passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2021 in the Brookwood Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham.

Landon was a member of the Eldridge Church of Christ, a 1954 graduate of Hubbertville High School and retired from Continental Conveyor & Equipment Co. in Winfield.

He is survived by his children, David Farris, Debbie Sizemore (JD) and Daryle Farris (Marsha), his grandchildren, Zach, Evan, Jake and Janice, brothers, Frank Farris, Jr. and B. G. “Bud” Farris, sisters, Mary Hyche and Nella McGraw (Ed) and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and close friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara Farris, his parents, George F. Farris, Sr. and Emma Jane Norris Farris a sister, Dot Doyle and two brothers, Jim and Curry Farris.

Mr. Johnny James Porter, age 80 of Winfield passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 in the DCH Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.

Johnny was born on January 11, 1940 in Buhl, Alabama to Jessie and Rosa Lee Porter. He was a member of the Winfield Freewill Baptist Church and an expert mechanic. Mr. Porter worked of many years in the textile industry and later retired from Continental Conveyor & Equipment Co. in Winfield.

Johnny is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Lou Porter, sons, Jerry Porter (Lisa) and Tony Porter (Katrina), grandchildren, Toby Porter, Jeremy Porter (Josie), Ashley Papanie (Chris), Valarie Porter, Brandi Porter, great grandchildren, Ledger, Jasper, Olivia, Layla, Louella James and Eva Camilla, three sisters, Elaine McKinley (Marvin), Leola Vowell and Frankie Gann, three brothers, Jessie Porter (Glenette), Billy Porter (Angela) and Earl Porter, sisters in law, Gaynell Dunavant, Sue Howell and Lila Mae Barnes, a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie Lonzo Porter and Rosa Lee Dillard Porter, a granddaughter, Linsey Porter, nieces, Jeanette Simmons, Tammy Wright and Jennifer McKinley, nephews, Phillip Wright and Dustin Wright.
