Mrs. Wanda Lee Norris, age 64 of Guin, in the Twin community, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2021 at her residence. Wanda was born on April 1, 1956 in Winfield, AL to Morris and Verna Lee Benton. She was a faithful member of the Winfield Freewill Baptist Church and a 1974 graduate of Winfield City High School. She worked as a dental hygienist for Dr. Fikes in Winfield for 15 years and then numerous years in the textile industry at Health-Tex and Onita. Later on, she and her sister, Joann, cleaned houses and cared for the elderly. Wanda was a loving caregiver and had a passion for growing flowers.
Mrs. Norris is survived by her husband of 42 years, Tim Norris, her sister and best friend, Joann Channell (Roger), sister-in-law, Vicky Kimbrell, niece, Angie Wilkerson, nephews, Andy Channell, Derrick Channell, Eric Norris (Tasha), great nephews, JJ and Matthew Channell, her father-in-law, James Norris, special friend, Nichole Cook, and a host of other relatives, church family, and close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Morris Benton and Verna Lee Hawkins Benton, mother-in-law, Betty Norris, and a brother-in-law, Jimmy Norris.
Funeral services for Mrs. Norris will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. from the Winfield Freewill Baptist Church with burial to follow in Zion Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Friday, February 19, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel. Brother Kent Nelson will be the officiating minister. Mrs. Pauline “Pat” Stocks, age 86 of Winfield, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at her residence. Mrs. Stocks was born in Mississippi on June 27, 1934 to Barthonie and Lonie Taylor. Pat was a member of the Winfield Freewill Baptist Church and a was a devoted Christion, wife, mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Stocks was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Thomas M. Stocks, a great grandson, Alexander Locke, her parents, Barthonie Taylor and Lonie Hughley Taylor, three sisters, Nellie Rhudy, Nettie Gunnels, Bessie Lou White, and five brothers, Olie, Ardell, Newton, Jerome and Odell Taylor. She is survived by her sons, Gregory Stocks (Joyce) of Winfield and Jeffery Stocks (Della) of Goldsboro, NC, her grandchildren, Anthony Stocks (Mackenzie), Amy Locke (Chad), Allison Bowen, Lance Eaves, Whitney Harris, Brittany Boykin, Lauren Rouse (Brandon), Taylor Stocks (Katelyn) and Hannah Stocks, two brothers, Arlin and Jimmy Taylor, a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and church family and friends.

A funeral service for Pat will be held on Sunday, February 14, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel. Brother Taylor Stocks, Brother Kent Nelson and Brother Charles Lynn will officiate the service. The visitation will be held on Sunday from 1:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Ada Diane Justice, age 64 of the Hubbertville community, passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at her residence. Diane was a faithful member of the North Pointe Church of God of Prophecy in Fayette, AL and very involved with the Hubbertville Lion Pride Marching Band. She enjoyed crocheting and fishing, but most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.

Diane was preceded in death by her father, Fred Youngblood. She is survived by her mother, Bernice Cox Youngblood of Hubbertville, daughters, Misty Braswell of GA, Crystal Justice of GA and Kathy Justice of IL, son, Jarvez Justice, of Hubbertville, grandchildren, Mariah, Keyla, Martel, Sydney and Javon, a sister, Betty Boundy (Douglas) of IL, brother, Ron Freeman (Bunny) of TX, and a host of other family, church family and friends.

A memorial service for Diane will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. from the North Pointe Church of God of Prophecy in Fayette, AL.  Bowen Funeral Home of Winfield serving  the Justice family.

 

Mrs. Patricia Lane Hubbert better known as Pat, age 82 of Priceville, AL formerly of Winfield, passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 in the Decatur Morgan Hospital. Pat was born in River Rouge, MI on August 28, 1938 to Frank and Mamie Spiceland.

Mrs. Hubbert was a member of the Priceville Church of Christ, always a faithful Christian, and very active with World Bible School. Pat attended college at Freed-Hardeman in Henderson, TN where she met Roger Hubbert, her husband of 52 years. Mrs. Hubbert enjoyed time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and church family and friends. Each year during tax season she enjoyed assisting her son, Dale at his accounting office.

Mrs. Hubbert is survived by her children, Dale Hubbert (Cindy) of Priceville, AL and Rogena Dillard (Keith) of Winfield, AL, grandchildren, Whitney Lawrence (Chad), Katie Gullion (Doug), Wes Hubbert, Allyson LeMasters (Bryan), Julie Hubbert and Karla Fulmer (Nate), great grandchildren, Lathan Lawrence, Sam Gullion, Macy Lawrence, Drew Gullion, Amelia Lawrence, Colt Gullion, Briar Kate Gullion, Ava LeMasters, Mia Hubbert and Ivy Fulmer She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roger D. Hubbert and her parents, Frank and Mamie Spiceland, two sisters and a brother.

Per the request of Mrs. Hubbert, a private family service will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2021. Bowen Funeral Home will be livestreaming the funeral service for Mrs. Hubbert at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Facebook live. James Wyers and Dale Hubbert willofficiate the service.  Burial will be in the West Alabama Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers; Keith Dillard, Chad Lawrence, Doug Gullion, Wes Hubbert, Bryan LeMasters, Lathan Lawrence,  Nate Fulmer, Sam Gullion, Drew Gullion and Colt Gullion.
