Mr. Clarence O’Neal Harrod, 82, of Winfield, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Northwest Medical Center in Winfield. Mr. Harrod was employed with H.H. Robertson Construction Company for over 35 years, serving as the Southeast Regional Director. In 1996, at 61 years old, he started his first company, Quantum Construction, and was still active with its daily operation. Mr. Harrod was a loving and devoted husband, father, and friend. Many whom have worked for him and with him have said, he was not just a boss, he was a leader, a mentor, and a true gentleman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruffus and Dorlis Henson Harrod, his wife, of 53 years, Mary Ann Burleson Harrod, and 3 sisters, Louise McCamey, Lola Mae Gann and Clarice Smith. He is survived by his children, Phillip O'Neal Harrod (Janet) of Winfield, and Angie Harrod Fowler (Gary) of Winfield, grandchildren, Graham Powell (Katie) of Florence, Allison O’Neal Harrod (Lee Parker) of Starkville, MS, Elijah O’Neal Fowler of Winfield, and Emilie Anne Fowler of Winfield, sisters, Mary Bryant of Winfield, Frances Johnson of Winfield, Hildred Ellis (Jerry) of Selma, AL, Margene Martin (Jimmy) of Fayette, brothers, Tom Harrod (Pat) of Calvert City, KY, Bobby Joe Harrod of Pea Ridge, Johnny Harrod (Nell) of Ty Ty GA, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Harrod will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 23, 2018 from the Winfield First Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Winfield City Cemetery. The Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. (service time) on Friday at the church. Mr. Lano Threadgill, age 74, of Guin in the Twin Community, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018 at his residence. Mr. Threadgill grew up in Brilliant, he lived most of his life in the Twin Community where he served as the Fire chief of Twin Volunteer Fire Department. Lano has a love for fishing, hunting and most of all, spending time with his family and friends. Mr. Threadgill is preceded in death by his parents, Vordra and Velma Threadgill, and his wife, Doris Faye Markham Threadgill. He is survived by his daughters, Kaye Todd (Doug) and Deborah Threadgill, grandchildren, Jason Todd (Mickie), Christy Spann (Gary), Amanda Franks (Jeremy), Alisha Morris (Kevin), Melisha Todd, 7 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter, sisters, Linda Gann (Jack), Louise Hollis (Bobby), Judy Lovette (Dale), Pam Threadgill, brother, John Threadgill (Johnnie) and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Mr. James H. Whitehead, age 84 of Winfield, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at the Northwest Medical Center in Winfield. Mr. Whitehead is a United States Air Force Veteran and worked for the 3M Company in Guin for 33 years. James was born April 10, 1933 to Garfield and Ave Joe Berry Whitehead. He is survived by his wife of over 58 years, Ellen Roberts Whitehead, children, Tony Whitehead of Tuscaloosa, Tracy Whitehead (Cassi) of Winfield and Cynthia May of Winfield, grandsons, Dylan Whitehead and Matthew Whitehead, bother, Larry Whitehead (Betty) of Winfield and sisters, Brenda Weeks of Winfield and Patty Ann Spann of Winfield. Mr. Whitehead is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Clyde Darrell Whitehead. Funeral services for Mr. Whitehead will be held Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home chapel with burial to follow in the Morris Cemetery. Rev.
