Ms. Lillie Jean Benton, age 86, of Winfield, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2018 in the Diversicare Healthcare Center in Winfield. Ms. Benton was born in Gadsden, Alabama on October 4, 1931. She was a member of The Church of The Shepherd’s Field. She enjoyed growing flowers and spending time with her friends, family and her grand dog, Scooter. Ms. Benton was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene B. Boley and Martha L. Wade Boley, a granddaughter, Amanda Box, a great granddaughter, Elise Simpson, and a son in law, Ray “Jaybird” Westbrooks. She is survived by her daughters, Anita Westbrooks of Northport, Rachael East of Charlotte, NC, Gloria Nix (Derian) of Bessemer, and Beth Benton (Todd Patterson) of Winfield, her grandchildren, Mike Westbrooks (Sandra) of South Carolina, Gina Simpson (Mark) of Tuscaloosa, Brittney McAllister of Tuscaloosa, Jason Box, Craig Box, and Erin Lee (Chad), all of Hamilton, two other special grandchildren, great grandchildren, Dayson, Haley, Abby, Della, Mary, Elle, Luke, Michael, Jayden, Reid, and Jude, 7 great great grandchildren, her sister, Martha Tyler, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on, Sunday, August 19, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Goodwater Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Sunday, August 19, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. (service time) at the funeral home. Dr. Larry Wates will be the officiating minister. Mr. Edward Ray Flippo, better known as Ed, age 70, of Brilliant, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2018 at his residence. Mr. Flippo worked in the coal mines and with Robertson Excavating for many years as a heavy equipment operator, until recently working side by side with his brother Ricky and his cleaning business. Ed is preceded in death by his parents, Larkin Edward “Buck” and Viola Estes Flippo, sisters, Joann Sandlin, and Kathy Franks, brothers, Charles Ray Flippo and Michael Flippo. He is survived by his brothers, Ricky Flippo of Brilliant and Danny Flippo (Brenda) of KS. and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home chapel with burial to follow in the Center Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. (service time) at the funeral home. Eddie Ayers will be the officiating minister. Michael Eugene McCluskey, age 46 of Winfield passed away on Friday, August 10, 2018 at his residence. Michael is survived by his daughters, Andreana McCluskey of Birmingham and Tosha Hulsey of Brilliant, son, Tyler McCluskey of Montgomery, parents, Mike McCluskey of La Porte, TX, and Betty Ann White of Hamilton, sister, Linda McCluskey, brothers, Brian and Matthew McCluskey and a host of aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his son, Nicholas Wayne McCluskey, sister, Brenda McCluskey, brother, Scott McCluskey and his grandparents. Service arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later. Mr. Charles Waylon "Tommy" Tucker, age 84 of Eldridge, passed away on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at his residence.  Mr. Tucker was a member of the Eldridge Church of Christ and a Volunteer Fireman with Eldridge Fire Department.  Mr. Tucker grew up on his family farm in Fayette County where he enjoyed spending his spare time fishing from the creek banks.  He worked in the auto industry in Detroit for Chrysler Corporation until being drafted into the United States Army in 1957 during the Korean war.  Upon his return from service, Tommy worked in the mining industry until 1991 when he started delivering parts for Scott's Auto Salvage. Mr. Tucker loved camping, hunting and fishing, and spending time with his family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Lucille Sprinkle Tucker, a sister, Louise Tucker Riggs, a niece, Renee Hayes Wheat, and a nephew, Grant Tucker.  He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Patsy Long Tucker, daughters, Vickie Cosby (Kevin) and Sherrie Behel (Wade), a son Scott Tucker (Meloney), grandchildren, Shaun Cosby (Ashley), Luke Cantrell (Amanda), Seth Cosby, Tyler Behel (Brittany), Chelle Tucker Phillips (Mike), Hayden Behel and Wesley Tucker (Chelsea), great grandchildren, Kate Cantrell, Preston Cantrell, Owen Cosby, Sam Cantrell, Waylon Behel, Wright Cantrell, and South Behel, sisters, Margie Sue Wallace (Jim), Glenda Logan (Veston) and Donna Turner (Tommy), brothers, Johnny Tucker (Betty) and Larry Tucker (Dorothy), a brother in law, Wayne Riggs, and a host of other relatives and friends.  Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 from the Eldridge Church of Christ with burial to follow in the Kelley Cemetery.  A vsistation will be held on Monday, August 13, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the church.  Gilbert Behel, Derek Porter, and Lonnie Ingram will officiate.  Bowen Funeral Home of Winfield serving the Tucker family.
