Mrs. Evelyn “Sue” Smith May, age 76 of Winfield passed away on Friday, April 10, 2020 at DCH Regional Health Care Center in Tuscaloosa. Sue was born on June 4, 1943 to Wyman Smith and Ruby Sandlin Smith Jewell.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Robert May, son, Allen May of Winfield, daughters, Jackie May of Winfield, Kathy Hartung of New Orleans, Robin Green (Jody) of Brilliant, a grandson, Dylan Hartung of New Orleans, brother, Lynn Smith (Hilda) of Winfield, niece, Brittany Harris (Casey) of Winfield, nephew, Devin Smith (Hollie) of Winfield and a sister, Rhonda Jewell, and a host of other relatives and friends. Sue was preceded in death by her parents, father, Wyman Smith, mother, Ruby Jewell, stepfather, Howard Jewell and a niece, Regina Sims.

Mrs. Charlotte Ann Pridmore McGough, age 73 of Guin, formerly of Brilliant, passed away on Wednesday April 8, 2020 at her residence. She was born on Apil 15, 1964 to Cleve and Zelma Mills Pridmore. Ann worked for Health-Tex Mfg. in Guin for many years.

She is survived by her nieces, Lisa Williams (Scott), Lorrie Franks (Michael) and Lawanna McCullough (David), nephews, Tony Vickery (Paula) and Ricky Vickery, stepsons, Brandon McGough (Yalonda) and Phillip McGough (Megan), step grandchildren, Chase McGough, Tucker McGough, Sara Madison McGough and Anna Beth McGough, and a host of other relatives and friends. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Cleve Pridmore and Zelma Mills Pridmore, husband, Richard McGough, sisters, Martha Pridmore Weeks and Faye Pridmore Vickery, and a brother, Donald Pridmore.

A private family graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2020, from the Mt. Zion cemetery. Roy Williams will be the officiating minister. Bowen Funeral Home of Winfield serving the McGough family.

Mrs. Wilma Dean Whitehead Roby, age 89 of Winfield, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2020 at her residence.  Mrs. Roby was born on June 28, 1930 to Gary and Myrtie Black Whitehead.  She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother in law, Roy Roby.  Mrs. Roby was a 1949 graduate of Hubbertville High School.  She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Florence Teacher’s College and a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Alabama.  Mrs. Roby taught Senior English for 32 years at Hewitt Trussville High School.  She is survived by her husband, James Ray Roby, a brother in law, Rolland Roby, two sisters in law, Mary Roby and Kay Roby, one niece, Deniece Roby Harris, three nephews, Curtis (Kathy) Roby, Dewayne (Lynn) Roby, and Derann Roby, and special friends and caregivers, Pat Taylor and Jeannie Hawkins. Graveside services for Mrs. Roby will be held on Monday, April 6th at 1:00 pm from White’s Chapel Church of Christ Cemetery.  Larry Alexander will be the officiating minister.  Bowen Funeral Home of Winfield serving the Roby family.
