Mr. Stephen Athel Guin, better known as Steve, age 64 of Winfield, passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at his residence. Steve was born September 23, 1954 to Athel and Johnnie McRight Guin, he was a 1972 Winfield City High School graduate and married his high school sweetheart, Pam Stiles on June 28, 1975. Steve loved his Lord and Savior, his family, church family and friends. Steve was a member and Deacon of the First Baptist Church of Guin. He was employed at the 3M Company in Guin for 43 years as a Master Mechanic with perfect attendance for 30 plus years. Steve enjoyed photography, gun collecting, shooting competitions, but most of all, spending time with his family. Steve is survived by his wife of 40 years, Pamela Stiles Guin, daughter, Starla Gama and her fiancé Tony Holloway of Hamilton, MS, son, Slade Guin and his wife Lynzy of Hamilton, MS, his granddaughter, Haley Ann Gama of Hamilton, MS, mother, Johnnie Guin of Winfield, three sisters, Patsy Brock (Jim) of Fayette, Peggy Trull (David) of Fayette, and Myra Reed of Birmingham, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Athel Guin and a sister, Judy Morrison.  Funeral services for Steve will be held on Monday, February 4, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Winfield City Cemetery. Brother Kenny Hatcher and Darren Pollard will officiate. The visitation will be held on Monday from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. (service time) at the funeral home. Mary Ann McGowan Hendrickson, age 69 of Winfield, passed away Monday, January 28, 2019 at her residence. Visitation for Mrs. Hendrickson will be held on Friday February 1, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon from the Bowen Funeral Home chapel. Mr. Christian Bloch better known as Chris, age 54, of Winfield formerly of Waycross, GA, passed away Sunday January 27, 2019 in the Northwest Medical Center in Winfield. Mr. Bloch was materials manager for Clayton Homes for over 18 years. He served in the United States Army from 1986 to 1991. Between 1990 and 1991 he served in Desert Storm and Desert Shield. Chris loved to play golf, the Tennessee Volunteers and the Denver Broncos. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Gwendolyn Bloch of Winfield, 3 daughters, Katelyn Bloch and Fiancé Jacob Gibson of Waycross, Georgia, Makenzie Bloch of Waycross, Georgia, and Emma Bloch of Winfield, an uncle, Soren Bloch of Saint Helena, CA, his mother and father in law, Phillis and Ray Carney of Clarksville, TN and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ole and Anneliese Mueller Bloch. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, January 30, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Bowen Funeral Home in Winfield, with further arrangements made later in Waycross, Georgia.
