Mrs. Barbara Jean Reese Duckworth, age 85, of Pinson formerly of Winfield, passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2020 at her residence. Mrs. Duckworth was born on July 18, 1935 to John and Earlis Reese in Lamar County, Alabama. She was a member of the Roebuck Baptist Church and a 1953 graduate of Winfield City High School.
Barbara is survived by her children, Randy Duckworth of Birmingham, Danny Duckworth (Christy) of Springville and Michele Ewers (Lonnie) of Pinson, grandchildren, Eli, Makayle and Shelby and one great grandchild on the way, sisters, Carolyn Hubbert of Hubbertville, Virginia Smith of Winfield, Marilyn Scarborough of Georgia, Malinda Sims of Guin, brothers, Albert Earl Reese of Odenville and Larry Reese of Winfield and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Albert Reese and Earlis Osborn Reese, and brother, James Reese.

Mr. Jeffrey “Jeff” Lynn Rushing, age 56 of Winfield formerly of Kennedy, passed away at his residence. Jeff was born on January 6, 1964 to William Hal Rushing and Tressie Lee Moore Rushing. He was a graduate of Kennedy High School and MUW College of Business and Professional Studies in Columbus, MS, and a Security Guard with Eagle Security. Jeff was a loving father and a friend. He enjoyed spending time with his daughter, his dog, watching Auburn football, Elvis movies and music and working on model trains and airplanes.
Jeff is survived by his daughter, Alaina Rushing of Winfield, a brother, Mike Rushing (Nancy) of Kennedy, his dog Buckley and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Tressie Rushing.
A memorial service for Jeff will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. service time at the funeral home. Bowen Funeral Home of Winfield serving the Rushing family.
Mrs. Ruby Jean Beckham Colburn, age 58 of Winfield, passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at her residence.
Mrs. Colburn is survived by her son Joshua Colburn (Jennifer) of Jasper, grandchildren, Joshua, Jr. and Jordan Colburn, , stepsons, Joe Colburn, Jr., Bryan Colburn and Stephanie Chandler (Matthew), step grandchildren, Chloe, Scarlett, Blane, Taylor, Dalton and Matthew, Jr., great granddaughter, Remi Kate Price and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Colburn, parents, Herman Melvin Beckham and Emily Jean Cannam, a sister, Linda June Williams, brother, Herman Melvin Beckham, II, a niece and two nephews.
The funeral service for Mrs. Colburn will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel. The visitation will be on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. service time. Bowen Funeral Home of Winfield serving the Colburn family.

Mr. Bobby Wayne Sanderson, age 72 of Winfield, passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2020 in the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
Mr. Sanderson was born in Hamilton, AL on July 3, 1948 to George and Geneva Sanderson. Bobby was a member of the Brilliant Church of Christ and a 1967 graduate of Brilliant High School. He was involved in his community in so many ways, he was a member of the Brilliant Masonic Lodge #601 and the Zamora Shrine Temple. Bobby was the owner/operator of Bobby’s Barber Shop in Winfield for 32 years. Mr. Sanderson was also a wholesale car dealer with Mid-South Auto’s in Tupelo, MS and Mid-Town Auto Sales in Winfield for many years. Bobby enjoyed Alabama football, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends.
Mr. Sanderson is survived by his wife of nearly 53 years, Doris Farris Sanderson, his two daughters, Brandy Weeks (Timmy), Brooke Spann, grandchildren, Kaitlyn Weeks, Haley Spann and Taylor Spann, sisters, Amelia Hamric (Greg), and Becky Sanderson Jones, a brother, Greg Sanderson, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, church family and many close friends. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, George and Geneva Sanderson, bothers, Danny Sanderson and George Sanderson, Jr. and a great nephew, Hollin Sanderson.
Funeral services for Mr. Sanderson will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Brilliant Memorial Gardens. Greg Lowery will be the officiating minister. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel.
