Mr. Leroy Doty, Sr, age 87, of Winfield, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2019 in the Northwest Medical Center in Winfield.

Mr. Doty was born on May 13, 1932 to Omsi Doty and Katie Sudduth Doty in Fayette County, AL, he worked for many years with Henry Hubbert farming and as a cattle hand.

Leroy was preceded in death by his parents, Omis and Katie Doty, his wife, Betty Joyce Rozzell Doty, daughters, Dr. Virginia Doty Moody and Barbara K. Doty, sons, John Stanly Doty and Leroy Doty, Jr., and a granddaughter, Rachel Doty, sisters, Katie Mae Harton and Lottie Doty. He is survived by his children, Nancy Doty, Linda Doty and Dorothy Hubbert all of Winfield, sons, Robert Lee Doty (Faye) and John Wayne Doty (Flora) both of Winfield, a son in law, Walter Moody of San Antonia, TX, sisters in law, Annie Curtis of Winfield, Mattie Coleman of Milwaukee and Earlean Brewster of Springville, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Doty will be held on Monday, November 25, 2019 from the Hodges Chapel Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. with the burial to follow in the adjoining cemetery. The visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. (service time) at the church. Bowen Funeral Home serving the Doty family.

Mr. Kenneth Dale Sanford, age 60, of Winfield, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2019 in the Northwest Medical Center in Winfield.  Kenneth was born on September 25, 1959 to Dan and Bonnie Still Sanford in Fayette, AL.  He was a 1977 graduate of Fayette County High School.  He spent most of his working days in construction and oil fields. 

Kenneth is survived by his children, April Starnes (Billy) of Bankston, and Justin Sanford (Kayla) of Haleyville, grandchildren, Will, Sam, D.J. and one on the way, fiancé, Vanda Sanford of Winfield, brother, Karl Sanford (LeAnn) of Winfield, wife, Regina Sanford, and a host of other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Dan Sanford and Bonnie Still Sanford.

Funeral services for Mr. Sanford will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.  from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Haleyville.  Brother Mark Moore will be the officiating minister.  The visitation will be held on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. (service time) at the funeral home.  Bowen Funeral Home of Winfield serving the Sanford family.

Mr. Kenneth Charles Guyton, age 76, of Brilliant, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2019 in the Diversicare Health Care Center in Winfield.

Kenneth was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. Mr. Guyton was previously employed as a welder with NTN Bower and most recently at B&B Quick Stop in Winfield.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Carol Dunn Guyton, his sons, Kenny Guyton of FL, Keith Guyton (Valerie) of Tuscaloosa, and Ray Hosler of Brilliant, six grandchildren, Noah, Kade, Phillip, Jessica, Nikki and Kenny, five great grandchildren, Annika, Ashton, Zoey, Jager and Bentley, a sister, Shelby Guyton Barnes (Sam) of Winfield, sister in law, Mary Ann Dunn Kimbrell (Dewayne) of Jasper and a brother in law, Wayne Smith of TN, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Mr. Guyton was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Arnice Lawrence Guyton, a son, Kevin Hosler, sisters, Willow Dean Tucker and Debbie Smith and a brother in law, Claudie Tucker.

Funeral service for Mr. Guyton will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2019 from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Union Chapel Cemetery. Brother Donald Smith will be the officiating minister. The visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. (service time) Saturday at the funeral home. Peggy Nix Haney, age 63, of Winfield passed away Thursday, November 7, 2019 at her residence. Peggy was born November 6, 1956 to Billy Wayne Nix and Ginnie Skelton Nix. She is survived by her sons, Dwayne Haney (Haley) and Daniel Haney (Vickie Newman) all of Guin, grandchildren, Spencer Haney and Elim Haney, a niece Mackenzie Pearce, and a special friend Teresa Brown. She was preceded in death by her parents, Billy Wayne Nix and Ginnie Skelton Nix and a sister, Betty Pearce.

Funeral services for Peggy will be held on Sunday, November 10, at 3:00   p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Mt. Willing Cemetery. Ashley Culp will officiate. The visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. (service time) at the funeral home.
