Mrs. Myrtle H. Self, age 89, of Brilliant, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018 in the Sunset Manor Healthcare Facility in Guin.   Mrs. Self was preceded in death by her parents, Austin Filo and S. Anna Ingle Holt, her husband, James “Bud” Self, a grandson, Joseph Self, sisters, Florette Tyler and Eula Logan, brothers, Ethan Holt and Eugene Holt and 5 infant siblings.  She is survived by her children, Karen Caudle (Ivan) of Brilliant, Ann King (Rex) of Haleyville and Anthony “Tony” Self (Felicia) of Brilliant, grandchildren, Matthew and Jonathan Caudle, Kyle Self (Carrie), Joshua King (Brittany) and Lindsay Carter (Clint), 7 great grandchildren, sisters in law, Jewel Holt, Helen Self and Virginia Mullenix, a brother in law, Jackie Self, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.  Funeral services for Mrs. Self, will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery near Brilliant.  Visitation will be Wednesday, January 31, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Bro. Mrs. Rosa Lynn Walker, age 89, of Brookwood formally of Winfield, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2018 in the DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.  Mrs. Walker was employed as an LPN for Carraway Methodist Medical Center in Winfield for many years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and friend, she was always ready and willing to help anyone in need.  Rosa is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Mary L. Strickland Gilleland, husband, John J. Walker, son, Joe Terry Walker and a granddaughter, Susan Marie Walker, sister, Martha Tucker and brother, Don Gilleland.  She is survived by her daughter, Donna A. Box (Joe), son, Russell B. Walker (Kathy), grandchildren, John A. Box (Priscilla), Anthony W. Box (Christina), Cindy Vickery (Jeff), Joseph Terrell (Lyann), Jennifer Walker (Scott), great grandchildren, Corey Vickery (Tabatha), Jessica Box, Matthew Walker, Zachary Vickery, Jonah Minor, Brandon Box, Michael Zimmerman, Abigail Minor, Tyler Box, Cooper Patton, Madison Box, William Box, Christopher Box, Elizabeth Box, great great grandchildren, Aydrian Vickery, Layken Waldrop, Braylon Vickery, and her brother, Bill Gilleland.  Funeral services for Mrs. Walker will be held at 11:00 a.m. on  Tuesday, January 30, 2018 with burial in Hopewell Cemetery.  The visitation will be Tuesday, January 30, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. service time.  Ed Steelman will be the officiating minister.  Bowen Funeral Home serving the Walker family.

Mr. Roy Andrew Fenimore, age 63, of Winfield passed away January 25, 2018, in the Northwest Medical Center in Winfield.  Mr. Fenimore is preceded in death by his father, Mr. Andrew ”OD” Fenimore.  He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Earline Spiers Fenimore, sisters, Carol Fenimore of Denver, CO, and June Fenimore of Colorado Springs, CO, brothers, Gary Fenimore (Teri) of Utah and Robert Fenimore of New Orleans, LA.  Services are tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel, burial will follow in the Winfield City Cemetery. Mr. Louis Scott “Scotty” Sandlin, age 69 of Bear Creek, formally of Winfield, passed away at his residence in Bear Creek, Wednesday, January 24, 2018.  Scotty is preceded in death by his parents, Louie Bryce & Evelyn Tidwell Sandlin, his wife, Peggy Sexton Sandlin, and a brother Teddy Sandlin.  He is survived by his children, Melissa Stovall (Alan), Kim Aldridge (Scott) and Rob Sandlin (Amy), grandchildren, Hillary Smith (Chad), Derek Stovall, Will and Ty Aldridge, great grandchildren, Cailyn and Caralee Smith, step grandchildren, Cameron and Andrew Taylor, Santana Reeves (Daryl), step great grandchildren, Oakley, Jaxon and Hadley Jo Hallmon and his sisters and brothers, Shelia Hill (Lennith), Bobby Sandlin (Crystal), Rosie Sandlin, Sharon Watley (Don) and Randy Sandlin (Kim), a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.  Funeral services for Mr. Sandlin will be held at 3:00 p.m. on, Sunday, January 28, 2018 from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Winfield City Cemetery.  Bro.
