Mrs. Maebelle McCollum Cagle, age 96 of Winfield passed away on Friday, December 25, 2020 at Self Health Care Center in Hueytown, AL. Maebelle was born in Walker County Alabama on July 20, 1924 to Travis and Emma Benton. She was a member of the Winfield First Baptist Church and owner/operator of Davis Cloth Shop on Hwy 129 for many years. Mrs. Cagle was preceded in death by her parents, Travis Benton and Emma Robie Benton, her husbands, Wiley McCollum and Arley Cagle, two brothers, J. T. Benton and Bud Benton and two sisters, Emma Dean Herren and Billie Eads. She is survived by her nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 from the West Alabama Memorial Gardens in Gu-Win. Mr. Charles Franklin Dudley, age 74 of Winfield, passed away on Friday, December 18, 2020 in the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Charles was a member of Bethabara Baptist Church in Bluff and a 1964 graduate of Winfield High School.

Mr. Dudley is survived by his wife of 55 years, Hilda Dudley, son, Alan Dudley (Melinda), daughter, Susan Gray (Kenneth), grandchildren, Jade Dudley (Connie Wright), Jasmine Jones (Landron), Telisa Cunningham (Jamie), Connor Dudley (Sammi Pulis), Jacey Kaye Dudley, great grandchildren, Adam, Thomas and Grayce Cunningham, Chaz and Rawlings Jones and Charlie Pulis and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hildred and Reble Lucas Dudley, a granddaughter, Michaela Dudley, sister, Mellie Sue Tant and brothers, Douglas and James Dudley.

A graveside service for Mr. Dudley will be held on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. from the Spring Hill Baptist Church Cemetery near Bluff. Bowen Funeral Home serving the Dudley family.

Mr. Hoyt “Booty” Dodd, age 88, and Mrs. Bobbie Jean Dodd, age 83, of Eldridge, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020, at their residence. Booty and Bobbie were married for 67 years. Mr. Dodd was self-taught and self-employed in the trucking industry most of his life; Mrs. Dodd was a fine homemaker and the Mayor of Eldridge for many years.  Mr. Dodd was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Estelle Sprinkle Dodd, his brothers, Leon “Bunk” Dodd, Donny Dodd, Bill Dodd, and Joe Dodd, and a grandson Shane Dodd.  Mrs. Dodd was preceded in death by her parents, Enoch and Lois McWhirter Jones, a sister, Helen Tidwell, and their grandson Shane Dodd.  Mr. and Mrs. Dodd are survived by their children, Gary (Martha) Dodd, Randall (Gail) Dodd, Roger (Elizabeth) Dodd, and Jimmy (Carolyn) Tidwell all of Eldridge, their grandchildren, Lisa (Chad) Bryant, Christy (Matt) Smith, Clayton (Tabitha) Dodd, Cayla Tidwell, Jessica (Uri) Nystrom, and Corey (Bevin) Thomaston, great grandchildren, Corbin Bryant, Allyssa Kate Bryant (Hayden Hall) Tristan Smith, Peyton Smith, Cooper Thomaston, Ellie Thomaston, and Eli Jack Dodd, Mr. Dodd’s brothers, Dean (Ann) Dodd, Bobby (Maxine) Dodd, and Benji (Kay) Dodd, his sisters, Merita, (Elvis) Bailey, and Maylene (Larry) McWhirter,  sisters-in-law, Margaret, Penny and Donna Dodd, their special dogs Junior and Lady, and special caregivers and friends, Patsy Tucker, Faye Baughn, Tammy and Julia.  Graveside services for Mr. and Mrs. Dodd will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 22nd at Kelley Cemetery in Eldridge. The Family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. (service time) on Tuesday at the Cemetery.  John Mooney and David Pickard will officiate.  Chad Bryant, Matt Smith, Clay Dodd, Corey Thomaston, Corbin Bryant, and Hayden Hall will serve as pallbearers with the Eldridge Volunteer Fire Dept. serving as honorary pallbearers.  In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the Eldridge Volunteer Fire Department in memory of Booty and Bobbie. Mr. Robert Duane Hughes, age 65 of Winfield, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2020 in the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.

Mr. Hughes was a member of the Winfield First Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, choir member, and the College Sunday School class teacher. Duane was also an active member of the Winfield Lions Club. He was a graduate of Central High School in Columbia, TN and Freewill Baptist Bible College (Welch College) in Nashville, TN. After graduation, Duane was first employed as youth and music minister in Ashland Kentucky, and later as youth and music minister at Winfield Freewill Baptist Church for over 14 years. Most recently, Duane was employed with Continental Conveyor/Komatsu in Inventory Control. Duane loved his horses, antiques, his motorcycle and working in his shop, but most of all, his Lord and Savior, his wife, children, grandchildren, and his church family and friends.

Duane is survived by his wife of 43 years, Lynn Carden Hughes, daughters, Kelsey Elmore (Jared), Cassity Potter (Adam), grandchildren, Harper and Houston Elmore and a sister, Debbie Carter (Rickie), nieces, nephews, other relatives, church family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bonnie Hughes and Lorene Nichols Hughes and a brother, Blaine Hughes.

Funeral services for Duane will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. from the Winfield First Baptist Church. The visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. (service time) at the church. Dr. Paul Murphy will be the officiating minister. Burial will be on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 in the Fulton Bridge Cemetery.
