Mary Jim Black 96, a long-time resident of Winfield AL and most recently of Birmingham AL passed away peacefully on Sunday February 4th surrounded by the people she loved.
Mary Jim was preceded in death by her parents Monroe and Edna Gann, and by her beloved husband, of 74 years Edwin Black.
She is survived be her daughters, Miriam Black, Smith, Jane Black Percy, by her son in law Alan Percy, by her grandchildren Anna Lane, Meredith Lane Lee and her husband Joseph Lee and by Jason and Gann Smith.
Mary Jim was employed by the Northwest Regional Library for many years.
A graveside service and burial will be conducted at the Winfield City Cemetery at 1:00 Wednesday February 14th 2024.

William Danathan Estes, better known as “Danny”, age 47 passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024 in the North Mississippi Medical Center. Danny was born on February 15, 1976 in Madison County, Alabama. He was a resident of the Hubbertville community for most of his life and attended Hubbertville High School. Danny was employed in the mobile home industry for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking and spending time with family and friends.
Danny is survived by his father, Enoch Estes, sister, April Estes Oden (Chris), stepson, Daniel Warnock, aunts, Willie Jean Guskhe, Connie Pate (Eddie), and Dorothy Odom, and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.
Danny was preceded in death by his wife, Sunny Mayfield Estes, mother, Jewell Dean Estes, and sister, Kristy Estes.
Funeral services for Danny will be held on Monday, February 5, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial following on Tuesday in the Nix Church of God Cemetery near Hamilton. The visitation will be held on Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. service time at the funeral home.

Shane Fowler, age 53, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, surrounded by family.
A 1989 graduate of Winfield High School. He moved to Tuscaloosa to attend the University of Alabama and then to UAB Birmingham to graduate with a doctorate degree in Optometry.
Shane moved to Destin, Florida, in 1997 with his former wife, Misty, and opened his first optical business. They also enjoyed frequent trips to Europe and started their dream of opening an antique business.
Leaving behind his loving devoted wife, Denese. He trusted her with his heart and shared a deep private connection. Together they enjoyed traveling, sitting on the beach, watching movies and working side by side.
Shane will forever be remembered by his parents, Regina and Larry Eisner, and Pat and Larry Fowler.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at 2pm followed by a funeral service at 3pm in The Chapel of 30A, 61 Topsail Village Dr., Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459. A time of remembrance and celebration of life service for Shane will be held on Thursday, February 8th from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at Bowen Funeral Home in Winfield.

William Jeffery Miles, better known as Jeff, age 54 of Winfield passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2024 in the Northwest Medical Center in Winfield. Jeff was born in Fayette, Alabama on January 1, 1970 to Marie Miles Whithead and Harry Williams. Jeff was a lifelong resident of Winfield. He was a member of the Zion Missionary Baptist Church and a 1988 graduate of Winfield City High School. Jeff was employed for many years with Winfield Rubber Manufacturing Company. To know Jeff was to love him, always kind and loving to everyone he met. Jeff loved his family and friends and cheering on the Auburn Tigers.
He is survived by his mother, Marie Miles Whitehead, father, Harry Williams (Shelia), son, Chase Miles, step-daughter, Tiffany Brazelton (Jason), brother, Chris Miles (Tajohnna), nieces and nephews, Heath Miles (Kameron), Austin Miles, Shay Perkins (Scott), Destinee Reed (Dustin), Maddie, Drew and Mason Williams, Dillon, Braxton, Ellie and Emmie Williams, great nephew, CJ Miles, Braxton Ely, Mason Perkins, Aidan Sanderson, Isaac Reed, half-brother, Joe Williams (Courtney), grandmother, Verna Williams, aunts and uncles, Pete Miles, Jimmy Dale Miles (Martha), Glenda Seals (Dennis), Mikie Williams, sister-in-law, Dara Williams and a host of cousins, and other relatives and friends.
Jeff was preceded in death by his grandparents, Will and Helen Miles and Ernie Williams and a half-brother, Josh Williams, aunt, Brenda Miles and cousins, Kimberly and Abbie Weeks.
Funeral services for Jeff will be held on Saturday, February 3rd at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the West AL Memorial Gardens. The visitation will be held on Saturday from 1 pm until 2 pm service time at the funeral home.
