Mr. Justin Ryan Whitehead age 30, of the Hubbertville Community passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at his residence. Justin was born on August 2, 1992 in Winfield, AL to Timothy Whitehead and the late Tammy Ratliff Whitehead. Justin was a 2010 graduate of Hubbertville High School and an employee of Stark Pest Control Co.
In his spare time Justin enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.
Justin leaves behind a son, Kyson Whitehead, father, Timothy Whitehead (Paige), sister, Kayla Bourland (Zackary), grandfather, Elzo Whitehead, grandmother, Carrie Ratliff, niece, Brooke Hollis, nephew, Luke Bourland, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and other family members.
Justin was preceded in death by his mother Tammy Whitehead, grandmother, Frances Whitehead, and grandfather, Alvery Ratliff.
Funeral services for Justin will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Berea Church of Christ Cemetery. The visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Rickey White age 74, of Winfield passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at his residence. Mr. White was born on November 11, 1947 in Winfield, Alabama to Ned and Hattie Belle Haney White. Mr. White was a welder for International Harvester Co. in Illinois for many years. He then moved to Florida where he was owner/operator of his own dry-wall company until his retirement. After his retirement, Mr. White returned to his hometown of Winfield and enjoyed riding motorcycles, and spending time with his family and friends.

Mr. White is survived by his son, Rickey White, Jr. (Kathleen) of Taylor Ridge IL., daughters, Kristel White Brown (Daniel) of Winfield, Angela Rosales (Ramon) of Rock Island, IL., and Luzena Donell of Oregon, grandchildren, Zachary, Hunter, Jessica, and Tiara White, great grandchildren, Payton, Libby, and Journee White, sisters, Cathy Bowen (Jerry), and April Cole (Greg) both of Winfield, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and other relatives.

In addition to his parents, Mr. White was preceded in death by brother, Russell Kettler, grandparents, Bill and Autie Haney, and a niece, Amy Crosby.

Funeral services for Mr. White will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery near Brilliant. The visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Nelda H. Pridmore, age 68 of Winfield passed away on Friday, September 30, 2022 with her family by her side. Nelda was born on August 7, 1954 in Winfield, Alabama to Austin and Emma Lee Benton Hubbert. Mrs. Pridmore was a member of the Winfield First Baptist Church and attended Winfield City High School. Nelda worked many years in the local textile industry and with several restaurants in the Winfield and Fayette areas. Nelda enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her husband and grandchildren. Nelda loved to shop and never missed watching an Alabama football game with her husband. She was a loving wife, mother, nana, sister, aunt and friend.

She is survived by her husband of 14 years, Steve Pridmore, son, Bryan Colburn, daughters, Stephanie Chandler and her husband Matthew, Stacie Posey and her husband Nick, grandchildren, Blane Colburn, Scarlett Colburn, Asher Posey, Taylor, Chandler, Dalton and Matt Chandler, great granddaughter, Remi Kate Price, a sister, Ann McBrayer, nieces, Amy LaDuke (Lance), Leshia Haley (Michael), Ashley Welch, Lexi Welch, Ashley Seals (Ty), Karrah Harrison (Will), nephews, Justin Lenahan (Susie), Shane McBrayer (Mercedi) and Heath Tucker, sister-in-law, Stephanie Welch (Scott) and a brother-in-law, Max Tucker and a host of other family and friends.

Nelda was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Donna Tucker and a nephew, Hayden Spiller.

Funeral services for Nelda will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. from the Miles Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow on the Zion Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. service time at the funeral home.

Ann Bostick Couch Garrett, age 68, beloved daughter and sister, passed away unexpectedly

at her Atlanta home Friday, September 26, 2022. Ann was born December 30, 1953 in Winfield,

Alabama to the late Eloise Gaba Couch and Dr. Edwin Wheeler Couch. She was blessed with

a loving stepmother Eileen Crawford Couch.

Ann graduated from Winfield High School in 1972 having attended there from K-12. She attended the University of Alabama and earned a B.S. in Nursing from Samford University. It was in nursing where she fulfilled her calling, caring for her patients with competence and love. She continued her education at Newport University earning a degree in Human Behavior with emphasis on counseling.

She worked in orthopedic nursing before moving to Atlanta in 1984. In Atlanta, she

specialized in psychiatric nursing which emphasized her counseling and nursing skills. A special circle of friends and relatives will miss Ann being part of their lives. A phone call, and a listening ear. She was an encourager and had an incredible generous spirit. She had a special gift of looking at others with soft eyed acceptance and loved a good laugh. She could often be found watching a classic movie or cheering enthusiastically for Alabama football. A fun night out for Ann was Cajun and Contra dancing with friends.

She is survived by her loving sister, Nancy Couch Moss of Montgomery, AL; two nephews Walter Ernest Moss, Jr. and wife, Emily, of Santa Rosa Beach, FL and Edwin Wheeler Moss and wife, Blair, of Birmingham, AL; and great nephews and nieces Wheeler, Charlie, Mary Charlotte and Isla.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 3, 2022 at 10:30 a. m. at the Winfield City Cemetery, Cemetery Street, Winfield, Alabama 35594.
