Mr. Joe Ferrell Dodd, age 69 of the Whites Chapel Community near Glen Allen, passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 in the Hospice Care Center at St. Martins In the Pines near Birmingham. Joe was a United States Army Veteran and a member of New River Church of Christ. Mr. Dodd is survived by his wife of 43 years, Donna Hollingsworth Dodd, daughters, Shea Kizzire (Jerrod) of Pell City and Ashley Goff (Sam) of Hoover, grandchildren, Joey Kizzire, Hudson Goff and Brooks Goff, sisters, Rita Bailey (Elvis) of Hamilton and Maylene McWhirter (Larry) of Eldridge, brothers, Bootie Dodd (Bobbie Jean) of Eldridge, Dean Dodd (Ann) of Winfield, Bobby Dodd (Maxine) of Winfield, Benjie Dodd (Kay) of Glen Allen, sisters in law, Margaret Dodd of Eldridge and Penney Dodd of Waterford, MS and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. Joe is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Ethel Estelle Sprinkle Dodd, brothers, Leon “Bunk”, Donnie and Bill Dodd. Funeral services for Joe will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held from 4:00p.m. until 6:00 p.m. (service time) at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Sprinkle Family Cemetery. Eddie "Mack" Corkren, age 51 of Winfield, passed away on Friday, July 27, 2018 at his residence. Mack was preceded in death by his father, Eddie “Duck” Corkren, his grandparents, Ruby and Vernell Sandlin, great grandmother Julia Morgan, and great grandfather Randolf Sandlin. Mack is survived by his mother, Margaret Sandlin Corkren of Winfield, a son, Jon David Corkren (Jessica) of Florida, a daughter, Sophie Grace Corkren of Winfield, a step son, Taylor Atkinson (Taylor) of Winfield, a granddaughter, Abby Mae Corkren of Winfield, brothers, David Corkren (Brenda) of Fayette, and Michael Weeks of Texas, a sister, Lynette Weeks Yates of Texas, nephews, Eddie D. Corkren of Fayette, Chad Corkren (Kyla), Mallory and Conner all of Fayette, and a host of aunts, uncles cousins, and other relatives and friends. A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 29, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Bowen Funeral Home in Winfield with private graveside committal services to be held at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Mrs. Alice "Faye" Berryhill Cotton, age 71, of Brilliant, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at her residence. Faye was a 1965 graduate of Brilliant High School and a member of the Brilliant Church of Christ. Mrs. Cotton worked for the city of Brilliant as the City Clerk for almost 30 years. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Donny Cotton of Winfield, daughter, Donna Nicholson (Tony) of Winfield, son, Brian Cotton (Lisa) of Winfield, grandchildren, Paige Phillips (Patrick) of Winfield, Jake Cotton (Lydia) of Brilliant, Drew Nicholson of Winfield, Brittany Reid (Chad) of Winfield, Brandon Aaron (Briana) of Jasper, Mike Connell (Holly) of Georgia, great grandchildren, Cooper Vickery, Keylee Bridgeman, Jax and Gunner Phillips, Abbigail and Hagen Dickinson, Kaden Parrish, Ady and Jaydon Aaron, McKayla, Braxton and Braden Connell, brother, Richard Berryhill (Jennifer) of Brilliant and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Mrs. Cotton is preceded in death by her parents, Olan and Hattie Mae Tidwell Berryhill, granddaughter, Whitney Cotton, sister, Virginia Cagle, and a brother, Roger Berryhill. Mrs. Marion Louise Harbin Reese, age 75, of Winfield formally of Fayette, passed away Friday, July 20, 2018 at her residence. Marion was a 1961 graduate of Fayette County High School where she was a majorette. She was a fun loving outgoing lady that loved her family and friends. Marion was once a powderpuff race car driver and owner of Elite Repeats consignment store. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Mr. Larry Reese of Winfield, daughters, Kathy Reese Hicks (Leslie) of Curry, Cindy Reese Holcomb (Kevin), Kiki Reese (Tom Nix), and her son, JR Reese (Crystal) all of Winfield, 6 grandchildren, Makenzie Hicks (Ryan Manasco), Reese and Walt Hennicke, Jackson and ViVi Reese, and Brettley Miles, her uncle, Clarence and Betty Anderson, special friend, Sally Dickinson, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elbert Marion Harbin and Bernice Anderson Harbin, mother and father in law, Albert and Earlis Osborn Reese, and a grandson, Tyler Reese Hicks.
