Mrs. Joy Leann Stocks Dickinson, age 54, of Winfield, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018 at her residence. Joy was a 1982 graduate of Moline High School in Moline, Illinois. Joy was a Doctors Assistant for Dr. William Lenahan for over 28 years. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Roger Dickinson, son, Aaron Dickinson (Whittney), granddaughter, Kendall Dickinson, and mother, Rachel Stocks, all of Winfield, sisters in law, Shirley Sparks of Moline, IL, Brenda Woodruff of Milan, IL, Sally Hines (Ron) of Milan, IL, Elke Clarke (Larry) of Milan, IL, cousins, Debbie Slater (Jack) and Carol Perez (John) both of Moline, IL, and her “best friend” pet Shelton, who continually provided emotional support for Joy.  She is preceded in death by her father, William Stocks and an infant brother, Paul Ray Stocks. Funeral services for Mrs. Dickinson will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 10, 2018 from the Bowen Funeral Home chapel with burial to follow in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday June 10, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. service time at the funeral home. Eddie Ayers will serve as officiating minister.

Mrs. Virginia Ann Herren age 66, of Gulf Shores formerly of Twin Community, passed away at her residence in Gulf Shores. Ann was a 1970 Hubbertville High School graduate and worked in the nursing field as an LPN for over 30 years. Mrs. Herren is survived by her daughter, Miranda Wilborn (Art) of Cabot, AR., grandchildren, Emma Marie, Lily Anne and Kate Alise, brother, Rick Flanagan (Shelia) of Brilliant. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, William Hubbert and Elsie McDuff Flanagan, husband, Ronald Larry Herren and a brother, Jimmy Flanagan. A memorial service for Mrs. Herren will be held on Monday, June 4, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at the Bowen Funeral Home the family will receive family and friends from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. (service time). Mr. Gary Wayne “Tuffy” Morrison, age 60 of Winfield. Passed away at the Northwest Medical Center in Winfield on June 1, 2018. Mr. Morrison was born October 8, 1957 to Archie Lee and Barbara Jean Bozeman Morrison. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Pam Morrison Pate and his father in law, Hollie Warren, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Sheila Diane Warren Morrison of Winfield, daughters, Reshonda “Paige” McCraw of Glen Allen and Miranda Yaden (Jonathan) of Brilliant, grandchildren, Natalie McCraw, Savanna McCraw, Laney Yaden and Van Yaden, sisters, Debbie Guyton (Edward) of Sulligent, Cindy Henson (Scotty) of Guin and his mother in law, Emma Dean Warren of Winfield and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Mr. Rex Edward Porter, age 89, of Winfield passed away Wednesday May 30, 2018 at his residence. Mr. Porter is survived by his children, Sandra G. Porter of Atlanta, GA, Edward R. Porter of Winfield, grandchildren, Starla Porter, Paige Porter, Tracy Porter, Tiffany Willis, Austin Porter, Tara Porter, Kayla Porter, Heather Smith and Krushinda Brannon, 10 great grandchildren, nieces, Anita Jones and Amber M. Jones, cousin, Joyce Clanton. He is preceded in death by his wife, Doris Ann Porter, parents, Gillie and Geneva Bly Porter, and his sisters, Willie Gray Beasley and Norma Faye Wheeler.
