Candace Danielle Key, age 46, of Brilliant, passed away Friday, September 27, 2019 in the UAB Palliative Care Center in Birmingham. Danielle was a 1990 graduate of Brilliant High School.

She is survived by her mother, Linda Key (Bill Davis) of Nauvoo, a brother, Michael Key (Rhonda) of Haleyville, her grandparents, Charlene Bowen of Brilliant and Emma Lawson of Nauvoo, niece, Emily Tidwell (Derrick), nephews, Mitchell (Ashley) and Logan Key, great niece, Lillie Miles, great nephews, Carson and Jackson Key and host of aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends Danielle was preceded in death by her father, Danny Key, and grandparents, Lynu and Lois Key, Loyd Lawson, and James Bowen.

Funeral service for Danielle will be held on Sunday, September 29, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Goldmine Cemetery in Brilliant. Brett Burleson will be the officiating minister. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 29, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. (service time) at the funeral home. Mr. Gerald Mack Spann, age 75 of Winfield, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at his residence. Gerald was a 1965 graduate of Winfield City High School. Mr. Spann worked in maintenance for Munsingwear in Guin and the Winfield Housing Authority.

Mr. Spann is survived by his wife of 45 years, Linda Lucas Spann, daughter, Tracy Keith (Brian) of Houston, TX, grandchildren, Neil (Kelly), Blake, Aaron (Hailey), Briana Keith and Colton Spratlin (Alexandra), great grandchildren, Riley, Brayden and Summer Keith, his brother, Jimmy Spann (Marie), a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives, close friends, Don Overton and family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lomac Spann and Florene May Spann, son, Jacky Spratlin, a sister, Nelda Spann Webb, and a sister in law, Bebe Aldridge Spann.

Funeral services for Mr. Spann will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2019 from the Eastside Baptist at 2:00 p.m. with burial to follow in the Goodwater Cemetery. The visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. (service time) at the church. Bowen Funeral Home serving the Spann family.

Betty Sue Marshall Harbin Moore, age 78, of Winfield, passed away Monday, September 23, 2019 in Diversicare Healthcare Center in Winfield. She was a 1959 graduate of Winfield City High School and liked to brag that she was the Valedictorian of her 6th grade class. Betty Sue drove bus # 7 for the Winfield City School system for many years until her retirement.  She owned a kennel and sold puppies all across the county.

Betty is survived by her children, Amy Harbin (Kelly Wood), Kim Townley, and Shane Harbin (Andrea) all of Winfield, eight grandchildren, Zann Townley, Zack Townley, Zandria Townley, Stephanie Estes (Cody Barnett), Heather Galbraith, Skyler Galbraith, Brook McCaleb and Kylee Harbin, seven great grandchildren, Hannah, Braxton, Townsley, Lexi, Laiken, Kaleigh and Kade and one great- great grandchild, Skyla, a brother, Terry Marshall (Syble) of Hoover, the father of her children, Ted Harbin, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, William D. Marshall and Catherine Adeline Colburn Marshall, her sisters, Willie Lee Hollis, Esta Ulmer and Mattie Lou Coker, her brothers, Johnny, Glenn, Joe Mac, Paul, Thomas and James Marshall, and Billy Gene and David Earl Nicholson.

Funeral services for Betty Sue will be held on Thursday September 26, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the West Alabama Memorial Gardens in Gu-Win. The visitation will be Thursday September 26, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. (service time). Brother Kent Nelson will be the officiating minister. Mrs. Willa Dean Leatch Hamlett, age 70, of Winfield, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2019 at her residence. She was born August 1, 1949 in Arkansas to Elmer and Mary Lou Leatch.

Mrs. Hamlett is survived by her husband of nearly 53 years, Gary L. Hamlett, her children, Tina Woodruff (Mark), Gary Hamlett (Kassie) and Hope Hamlett, nine grandchildren, Kimberly Andrews (Mitch), Belle Head (Dallas), Tanner Hamlett, Hunter Seagraves, Cole Hamlett, Nathan Head, Clay Jones, Colin Jones, Celia Grace Hamlett, three great grandchildren, Cooper Smith, Trevor Phillips and Blakelynn Head and a brother, Wayne Leatch of MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer Leatch and Mary Lou O’Mary Leatch, an infant daughter, Lilly Frances Hamlett, sisters, Delois Nation, Jean Long, and Barbara Riddell, brother, Harvey Wiggins and a nephew, Todd Riddell.
