Mr. Dennis Lee Tidwell age 62, of the Barn Creek Community passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 in the Diversicare Nursing Facility in Winfield. Dennis was born in Winfield, Alabama on June 17, 1959 to Alvis and Virginia Roby Tidwell. He was a 1977 graduate of Hubbertville High School and then worked for Continental Conveyor & Equipment Company for 20 years. He was a member of Winfield Church of God for over 30 years and loved his church family. He also loved the outdoors; hunting, fishing, and spending time there with his family. Dennis loved Alabama Crimson Tide football and spent countless hours coaching his sons Toybowl Football team. He spent the last season of his life in his treasured role as Papa to his grandchildren.
Mr. Tidwell is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Glenda Tidwell, daughter, Misty Larkin (Doug) of Northport, son, Cody Tidwell of Eldridge, grandchildren, Taft, Tate and Olivia Grace Larkin, sister, Linda Phillips (Randy) of Winfield, brothers, Johnny Tidwell of Rock City, and Bill Tidwell (Mae) of Haleyville, and a host of nieces, nephews, church family and other family and friends.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, mother-in-law, Mary Lou Elliott, sister-in-law, Judy Tidwell, brother-in-law, Jerry Eads, and niece, Stephanie Phillips.
Funeral services for Dennis will be held on Sunday June 11, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Tidwell Chapel Church of Christ Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Jeffrey Scott Turner age 65, of Winfield passed away on Monday, June 6, 2022 in the Northwest Medical Center. Jeff was born in Winfield, AL on October 21, 1956 to Jackie and Mary Ellen Rutledge Turner. He was a 1974 graduate of Hubbertville High School and spent much of his life working for Continental Conveyor & Equipment Company, Inc. where he later retired after 36 years of service. Jeff loved sports of all kinds, especially Alabama Football and spent more than 20 years as a referee and umpire for the AHSAA.
Mr. Turner is survived by his daughters, Heather Bozeman, and Kassie Hamlett and her husband Gary, grandchildren, Jake Bozeman, Clay Jones, Colin Jones, Celia Grace Hamlett, Cole Hamlett, and Tanner Hamlett, brothers, Tommy Turner (Donna), and Chris Turner, nieces, Melody Guin (Heath), and Ginger Bowen (Brad), great nephews, Tucker Bowen, Jack Lakey, Sawyer Bowen, and great niece, Presley Guin, the mother of his daughters and his friend, Nelda Jones, and a host of aunts, uncles, and other family and friends.
Mr. Turner was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services for Jeff will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Whites Chapel Church of Christ Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

James Eugene Busha better known as Jim, age 79 of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away on June 1, 2022. He was born in Mississippi on June 20, 1942 to Marshall and Luella Cleveland Busha.

Jim grew up in Boaz, AL and enlisted to the US Army in 1961 as military police. He was promoted to Chief Warrant Officer and eventually became lead of the US Army Criminal Investigation Department of South and East Asia. He served 27 years. In 1962 he met his wife in South Korea, and they were married for 55 years before her passing in 2019. Jim lived in Japan, Vietnam, South Korea, Washington DC, and several US states, until settling in Colorado Springs, CO in 1986, and acquired a second residence in Hamilton, AL in 2021.

Jim was a strong and generous provider who deeply loved his family. He held a Master’s degrees in Criminal Justice, Forensics, and Ballistics. He was an avid hunter and fisherman with numerous accomplishments, including developing HEMAG long range bolt-action rifles, big game hunting in Alaska, Colorado, Texas, and he planted many trees for future generations.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Janice S. Busha, parents, James Marshall and Luella Elaine (Cleveland) Busha, siblings, Thomas Jackson Busha, James Bobby Busha, Lela May Coppett, Kenny Ray Busha. Jim is survived by, his son, Jimmy Edwin Busha, daughter, Karen Anne Busha, 5 grandchildren, siblings, Dolly Farmer, Herman Lewis Busha, Mary Lou Smith, Gene Wallace Busha, Clara Nell “Cricket” Henderson, nephew, Gerald Wayne Busha and other nephews, nieces, and relatives. He was highly respected and loved by many. He will be missed very much.

A funeral service for Mr. Busha will be held on Monday, June 6, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel. The visitation will be held on Monday from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. service time at the funeral home. A private family burial will take place at Pikes Peak National Cemetery in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
