Lucas Jay Rayman passed away peacefully in the arms of his parents on Monday, April 4, 2022. Lucas was born on March 22, 2022, to his parents, Zackary and Haley Minor Rayman of West Point, MS. During his short time here on earth he touched many lives and was loved deeply by his family. His brief life was a gift from God to his parents and to all his family that will live on in their hearts forever.
He is survived by his parents, grandparents, Anissa and Stephen Blair of Winfield, Kimberly Rayman of West Point, MS, and Ricky and Melinda Minor of Arkansas, great grandparents, Shelia Taylor of Twin and John and Peggy Rowe of Vernon, uncles, Andy Minor (Hannah Robinson) and River Blair, aunts, Remi Blair, Loren Blair, Morgan Leeth (Davie) and Amber Whittle, , great uncle, Jason Taylor (Mandy) of Hamilton, great aunt, Natalie May (Matthew) of Birmingham, and cousins, Kaysen Wilemon, Braely Taylor, Bretta Taylor, Kate May and Camden May.
Lucas was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ronald J. Rayman, and great grandfathers, Larry Gene Taylor and Roy Minor
Funeral services for Lucas will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Twin, AL. The visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Gloria Dean Bell Logan, age 86 of Brilliant passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at her residence. Mrs. Logan was born in Marion County, Alabama on March 13, 1936 to Henry and Pauline Jones Bell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Flavil Logan, her parents, grandson, Brian Waack, brother, Russell Bell, sisters, Betty Pilger, Shirley Summeral and Nelda Jett. Mrs. Logan is survived by her son, Terry Logan of Brilliant, daughters, Teresa Benton (Larry) of Winfield, Janice Waack of South Carolina and Sharon Aldridge (Mark) of Winfield, grandchildren, April Hoffman (Rob), Josh Logan (Kerrie Beth), Jeremy Benton (Holly), Julie Nelson (Chris), Carissa Webb (Joe), Monica Parker (Andrew), Adrienne Oxendine (Chad), Terry Vickery, Meleea Bowling (TJ), 20 great grandchildren, sisters, Gladys Wilcox and Linda Roberts both of Florida and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
A private family service for Mrs. Logan will be held on Monday, April 4, 2022 with burial in the Goldmine Cemetery near Brilliant.

Mr. Albert (Joe) Johnson, age 82, went Home to be with his Lord and Savior and a reunion with his wife, Dot, on Monday, March 28, 2022.
Joe was always the ‘family fixer’, the one who wanted to ‘fix’ whatever was not in shape, to right a wrong and take care of everyone and meet any need they had. Joe served in the National Guard as 1st Sargent and was the ‘go to guy’ at the Guin Armory in 1974 when the tornados almost wiped the town off the map. His leadership helped many during the days, weeks, months as rebuilding the town began; showing again his desire to fix what he could.
Joe served as a deacon and taught an adult Sunday School class at Winfield Free Will Baptist Church for many years.
Joe was loving, dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was so proud of his family and enjoyed their visits, the fishing trips and having lunch with one or more of the family as often as possible .
Joe is survived by his children, Stan (Connie) Johnson, of Guin, AL, Lee Ann (Sandy) Bozeman of Lincolnton, NC; grandchildren, Bethany (Mark) Hightower of Guin, AL, Ben (Melanie) Johnson, of Guin, AL, Brianna (Zach) Taylor of Madison, AL, and Timothy Bozeman and fiancé Karena Anggara of Pensacola, FL; great-grandchildren Hayden, Hudson, and Holden Hightower, Sawyer Jo Johnson, all of Guin, AL; a sister Margaret Stone of Moody, AL; sisters- in- law, Lillian Eads of Adger, AL, Francis Johnson, of Winfield, AL, Patsy Johnson, of Hanceville, AL, and Cora Lee Weeks, of Winfield, AL. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Doris (Dot) Eads Johnson, parents Fred & Polly (Sprinkle) Johnson, brothers Alvie, James and Paul Johnson, and a grandson, Jake Johnson.
A service for a life well-lived and one with a loving and caring heart will be Tuesday, March 29th at 6 p.m. at the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel, Winfield, AL. A visitation will be held from 4 until 6 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at the West Alabama Memorial Gardens, in Gu-Win, AL.

Mr. Mark Carl Atkinson, age 61 of Winfield passed away on March 20, 2022. Mr. Atkinson was born on March 14, 1961 in Guin Alabama to Carl Ray and Dora Atkinson. Mr. Atkinson was a 1979 graduate of Winfield City High School and spent much of his life working in the construction and iron working industry.
He is survived by a son, Jared Mark Atkinson of Winfield, daughter, Brandy Perkins (Matt) of Winfield, mother, Dora Atkinson of Winfield, brother, Phillip Ray Atkinson Sr. of Winfield, grandchildren, Riley and Mason Atkinson, Memory Clark, Kimber Perkins, and Madison Havard, nephews, Phillip Ray Atkinson Jr., Eric Atkinson (Jennifer), Tyler Atkinson, nieces, Lasha Atkinson, and Courtney Atkinson, great nephews, Isaiah Atkinson, Carvin Atkinson, and Lane Atkinson, great nieces, Reese Mosley, Makenna Reeves, and Analiese Mosley.
Mr. Atkinson is preceded in death by his father, Carl Ray Atkinson, brother, Timothy Craig Atkinson, grandparents, James Leslie and Minnie Trimm, and Hollis and Abbie Atkinson.
Funeral services for Mr. Atkinson will be held on Friday, March 25, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Old Union Cemetery. The visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. service time on Friday at the funeral home.
