Mr. Garry O’Neal Dozier age 67, of the Wayside Community passed away Thursday July 1, 2021 at his residence.

Mr. Dozier was born on March 30, 1954 in Guntersville Al. to Grady and Betty Jean Dozier. Garry was a member of the Wayside Church. He spent most of his life working as an iron worker, a coal truck driver, and a carpenter.

Garry is survived by his wife, Connie Miles Dozier, two daughters, Michelle Dozier Hollis (Ron Norris), and Raven Dozier Perry (Nathaniel), his mother, Betty Jean Robbins Dozier, four sisters, Teresa Stricklin (Phillip), Donna Nix (Gene), Debby Reed (Steve) and Sherry Porter, two brothers, Jeff Dozier (Aleta), and Bill Dozier (Pam), grandchildren, Meagan Joyce Hollis (Landon Snow), Robert “Neal” O’Neal Hollis, and Cameron Drake Perry,

Mr. Dozier was preceded in death by his father, Grady Lee Dozier Jr., a brother, Danny Ray Dozier, and grandparents, Grady Sr. and Loraine Busbee Dozier, and Theodore “Ted” and Ora Mae Nell Robbins.

Gary was blessed with many special friends throughout his life including, his Wayside Church family, Junior and Kim Travis, Betsy Walker of Charlotte, North Carolina, Chip Hollis, and Tia Doss (staff member of Hospice of Northwest Alabama).

In lieu of flowers the family would like donations made to Hospice of Northwest Alabama.

Mr. Jimmy L. Hayes age 73 of Winfield passed away on Thursday, July 1, 2021 in the Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham. Funeral services for Jimmy will be held on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Winfield City Cemetery. Gregory Keith Bryant better known as Keith, age 52 of Winfield passed away at his residence.

Keith was a 1987 graduate of Winfield City High School and was employed with Ox Bodies, Inc. in Fayette. He was an avid Alabama Football fan and enjoyed racing, deer hunting, riding motorcycles and horses.

Keith is survived by his parents, Thomas and Barby Bryant, brothers, Randall Bryant (Michelle) and Timothy Bryant (Dana) a sister, Laura Emerline (Bryan), his nieces and nephews, Rebecca Emerline, Scott Emerline, Zoie Bryant, Hayden Bryant and Kade Bryant a great niece, Emerlynn Hollis, his best friend, Jared Wates, and a host of aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred and Linnie Stricklin and Buren and Rachel Bryant.

A memorial service for Keith will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. (service time) at the funeral home. Dr. Larry Wates and Brother Gary Hurts will be the officiating ministers. Mrs. Emma Jean Price, better known as Jean, age 71 of Winfield passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at her residence.    

Jean was born on November 6, 1949 in Fayette County, AL to Bernard and Edith Swindle. Mrs. Price was a 1968 graduate of Berry High School and was employed with Reltoc Manufacturing for 25 years until its closure in 1993. She later retired from Shelby Die Casting in Fayette, AL. Jean was a talented seamstress that could make anything from clothing to costumes. She loved her family and enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren in all their sporting events. Jean was a “picker”; always looking for great deals at yard sales and Dirt Cheap.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Scotty Price, daughter, Andrea Harbin (Shane), sons, David Price and Stoney Price, grandchildren, Kyle Price (Hannah), Brook McCaleb and Kylee Harbin, great grandchildren, Copelyn, Price, Kannan James Price, and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Benard and Edith Smith Swindle, sister, Diane Corkren and a brother, Doc Swindle.

Funeral services for Mrs. Price will be held on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Shady Grove Cemetery near Fayette.
