Mr. Ronald Dale Jenkins better known as Ronnie, age 75 of Winfield passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022 at his residence. Mr. Jenkins was born on May 7, 1947 in Winfield, Alabama to Henry Lamar and Hildred Norris Jenkins. Ronnie was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Freewill Baptist Church. He was 1964 graduate of Winfield City High School, Ronnie was a running back and cornerback for the Winfield Pirate football team, and pitcher for the pirate baseball team. Mr. Jenkins was in the coal mining industry for over 27 years working at various locations, the last being Jim Walter Mine # 5. Mr. Jenkins enjoyed the outdoors; he was an avid coon hunter, deer hunter, fisherman and a huge Alabama Crimson Tide fan.

Mr. Jenkins is survived by his wife, Regina Miles Jenkins, his sons, Mike Jenkins (Lori), and Ron Jenkins, grandchildren, Kent Jenkins (Kourtney), Luke Jenkins, Zack Jenkins (Stormi), Blake Jenkins and Nathan Maddox (Leslie), sisters, Patsy Lolley, Kathy Harris, and Angie Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Sharon Lynn Jenkins, son, Ronald Dale Jenkins, Jr., a grandson, Hunter Blake Jenkins, and his brother, Jerry Jenkins.

Funeral services for Mr. Jenkins will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel. The visitation will be held on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. service time at the funeral home. A family burial will be held on Friday, December 30, 2022 in the Griggs Place Cemetery.

Mrs. Darlene Linley Pugh, age 60 of Winfield, passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022 at her residence. Darlene was born on July 27, 1962 in Marion County, Alabama to Bill and Lucille Franks Linley. She was a 1980 graduate of Brilliant High School and received her LPN degree from Northwest Alabama Community College in Hamilton, AL. Darlene was currently employed with Civic Center Health and Rehabilitation Nursing Home in Birmingham as a Medical Records Coordinator, and formerly employed as a Legal Nurse Consultant with Starnes Davis Florie law firm in Birmingham. She was Executive Director with Rosewood Manor in Scottsboro, AL and with Beverly Heath Care Center in Winfield for 27 plus years. Darlene was a member of the Marion County Elks Lodge # 2684 for 23 years and was the Alabama State Darts Chairman and Chaplin. She enjoyed playing darts, knitting, being involved with the community, and taking care of others.

Darlene is survived by her husband of 24 years, David Pugh, her son, Daniel Warren (Tiffany) of Winfield, her father, Bill Linley of Brilliant, stepchildren, Kelley Harrison (Michael) of Winfield, Kasey Pugh of Winfield, and Justin Pugh (Jackie) of Moundville, grandchildren, Natalie Wilson, Payton Wilson, Brooklyn Wilson, Roper Jones Mason Harrison, Emma Harrison, Clint Pugh, Thomas Pugh, Casen Harbin and Kage Harbin, her sister, Betty Holcomb of Haleyville and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and close friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Jeremiah Warren, her mother, Lucille Linley and her brother, John “Mitchell” Linley.

Funeral services for Darlene will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Center Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Barbara Jeanne Davis, age 67, of Winfield, formerly of Greenville Mississippi, passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at her residence. Mrs. Davis was born on November 16, 1955 in Shaw, Mississippi to James and Martha Toler. Mrs. Davis was a member of Cherith Baptist Church, Carson, Mississippi and attended Greenville High School. She later attended Clark College in Newton, Mississippi where she received a degree in English Literature. Barbara spent much of her life as an assistant teacher with Prentiss Elementary School. In her spare time Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Mrs. Davis is survived by her daughter, Robin Hood, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Davis, son, James Davis, brothers, Jimmy, Brad, and Joe Toler, 2 brothers-in-law, and 2 sisters-in-law.

A memorial service for Mrs. Davis will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel. The visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5:00p.m. until 6:00p.m. service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Timothy LD Bass, age 63, of Winfield passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 in the Sunset Manor Nursing Facility. Timothy was born in Winfield, AL on August 12, 1959 to LD and Toy Ingram Bass. Timothy was a member of Brock Church of Christ and attended Winfield City High School. He spent much of his life in the farming industry and enjoyed spending his free time with family and friends.

Mr. Bass is survived by his sisters, Pamela Self (Nathaniel) of Twin, nieces, Natasha Gann (Brian), Monica Bass, and Jessica Webb (Corey), nephews, Christopher Moss (Krystal), Jonathan Moss (Sarah), and Anthony Self (Tosha), great-nieces, Cadence Bozeman, Abigail Meyer, and Bryleigh Tucker, great-nephews, Brody and Braden Tucker, Braxton Mayo, and Brandon and Langston Webb, and a host of uncles, cousins and other family members.

In addition to his parents Mr. Bass was preceded in death by his brother, Mark Bass.
