Mrs. Barbara Gail Humbracht, age 78, of Winfield formerly of Bartlett, Illinois passed away on Friday, June 7, 2024 at her residence. Barbara was born on November 29, 1945 in Muscle Shoals, Alabama to Samuel Webb Bracken and Cecile Marie Bracken Robertson. She was employed for many years with Flexonics in Illinois. She and her husband Larry later created a successful restaurant/bar called “Bracht’s Place” which they owned and operated for more than 35 years. After their retirement in 2017 Barbara and her husband moved to Alabama where she lived the remainder of her life. Barbara enjoyed many hobbies after her retirement, but she especially loved spending time with her son and grandchildren.
Mrs. Humbracht is survived by her son, Ricky Dodd (Vera), grandchildren, Kim Whitehead (Josh), Dana Brubaker (Brian), Melissa Dupuis (Logan), Stefan Rutkowski (Kaleena), 11 great grandchildren, stepchildren, Jennifer Rutkowski (Jeff), Rebecca Frye (Bucky), and Jimmy Humbracht (Brenda), step grandchildren, Adam and Owen Frye, and Ben and Sam Humbracht, sisters, Carlene Robertson and Helen Faye Blaylock (Paul), and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
Mrs. Humbracht was preceded in death by her husband, Larry W. Humbracht, her parents, stepfather, Calvin Robertson, sister, Shelby Burgess, and a brother, Raymond Bracken.
A memorial service for Mrs. Humbracht will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel. The visitation will be held on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Nona Faye DuBose Miles, age 87 of Winfield, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024 in the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Nona was born on August 11, 1936 in Vernon, Alabama to W. V. “Verdo” and Epsie McClung DuBose. Mrs. Miles was a member of the Winfield First Baptist Church and a 1954 graduate of Lamar County High School. She worked for many years in the textile industry in the Marion County area. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting, gardening, sewing and traveling.
Mrs. Miles is survived by her daughter, Shana Holley and son, Mark Miles and his wife Christie, grandchildren, Brian Holley and wife Stacie, Jennifer Holley and Allyson Miles, great grandchildren, Owen, Isaac and Emma Holley a sister, Freida Peoples and a host of nieces, nephews, church family and close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Owen Wayne Miles, a daughter, Melissa Miles, sisters, Helen Northam and Patsy Stripling, and her brothers, Bernice, Edd Cain and Carlie DuBose.
Funeral services for Mrs. Miles will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in the West Alabama Memorial Gardens. The visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Bobby Wayne Stiles, age 77 of Winfield passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2024. Mrs. LouNell Cagle, age 96, of Brilliant passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 surrounded by her family at her daughter’s residence in Purvis, Mississippi. LouNell was born in Lamar County, Alabama on July 19, 1927 to Leroy and Ora Mae McKay Barnes. Following her marriage, to Kermit Cagle they lived in Brilliant, Alabama. She was a devoted member of the Brilliant Freewill Baptist Church. She retired from the Marion County School District where she was a lunchroom worker and bus driver. She loved all her school kids.
LouNell was known for her faith, her family, and her generosity. She was a woman of God and a prayer warrior who loved her family fiercely and served the Lord. She was a sacrificial mother and an honorable wife.
Her ministry was sending cards of encouragement to everyone and fixing meals to feed anyone in need. She loved to travel and see new places. She was also interested in gardening and canning vegetables.
Like Mawmaw Barnes always said, “I only have beautiful children.”
She is survived by her daughters, Sarah Cagle Gray and Deborah Smith, granddaughters, Angie Roberts, Sandy Scott, and Alisa Tidwell, grandsons, Tom Smith (Jessica) and Trevor Smith (Nichole), great-granddaughters, Jessica Roberts (Dallas), Kayla Patterson (Earl), Codie Carter (Bradley), Alicia Ethredge, Katie Tidwell, Michelle Tidwell, Rachal Dodd Lolley (Chris), Elise Smith, Harley Smith, and Mila Smith, great-grandsons, Sonny Roberts (Paige), Colton Scott, Joseph Tidwell, and Beck Smith, great-great-granddaughters, Blakely LouElle Lowry, Mattie Patterson, Laila Carter, Brenna Carter, Taylor Jacobs, Trayonna Polk, Sailor Tidwell, Dalis Tidwell, Kam Smith, Tristyn Dodd, and Chelsi Lolley, great-great-grandsons, Rylan Roberts, Kullen Roberts, Rogen Patterson, Tyce Bromley, Kylan Polk, and River Tidwell, brothers, Wiley Barnes (Maxine) and Eugene Barnes, and a host of nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law, Euldean Allen and Shelby Barnes and a brother in law, Gary Rose.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Kermit Cagle, father, Leroy Barnes, mother, Ora Mae McKay Barnes, sisters, Allean Guin (Early), Dorothy Elliot (Donald), Ruth Tittle (Howard), Betty Jo Willet (Perry), Joyce Ann Rose, Judy Gulley (Earl), and Nelta Sue Barnes, brothers, Jesse Barnes, Sam Barnes, James Barnes, Boyd Barnes, and Floyd Barnes, grandson, Tony Dodd his wife Cynthia Dodd, sisters-in-law, Willodean Cagle, Olivia Taylor, IvaDell Taylor, and Vera Mae Carrao. brothers-in-law, Orville Cagle, R.H.
