Mrs. Pamela Denise Box Hosch, age 64, of Winfield passed away on Sunday, January 23,2022, in the Northwest Medical Center. Pam was born in Winfield, Alabama on January 25, 1957 to Willie Fred and Mildred Box.

Mrs. Hosch is survived by her brothers, Larry Box (Charolette) of Winfield, Scotty Box (Linda) of Coker, and Lyndon Box (Lesleigh) of Idaho, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Mrs. Hosch was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Hosch, and her parents, Willie Fred Box and Mildred Norris Box.

A graveside service for Pam will be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. in the Grigg’s Place Cemetery. Bart Box and Fred Baccus will be the officiating ministers.

Mrs. Peggy A. Cox, age 88 of Indiana formerly of Winfield, passed away on Sunday January 16, 2022. Graveside services for Mrs. Cox will be held on Monday, January 24, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. from the West Alabama Memorial Gardens.  Bowen Funeral Home of Winfield serving the Cox family.

Miss. Martha Burleson better known as Sue, age 81 of Hamilton formerly of the Sunny Home Community passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at her residence.

Sue was born in Marion County on May 10, 1940 to Woodrow and Jessie Burleson. She was a member of the Brock Church of Christ and a graduate of Brilliant High School. She was employed with and retired from MC Coal Company. She was a big Atlanta Braves and Alabama Crimson Tide fan. Sue loved her family; she always treated her nieces and nephews like they were her own children.

Sue is survived by her brother, Woodrow Burleson, Jr. (Annell) and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, special friends, Kathy Burleson and Brenna Sanderson, her church family and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow Ralph Burleson and Jessie Barton Burleson, her sisters, Colene Burleson Farris, Jackie Burleson, brothers, J. C. Burleson and Benny Rex Burleson a niece, Angie Burleson and a nephew, Michael Burleson.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 12:00 noon from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Brock Church of Christ cemetery. Mrs. Florence Jerlene Haley Willis, age 85 of Eldridge passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022 at her residence. Mrs. Willis was born in Walker County, Alabama on September 5, 1936 to Grady and Lorene Haley. She attended Hubbertville High School and retired from Son’s Grocery Store in Jasper, AL after 31 years of service.
Mrs. Willis is survived by her daughter, Sharon Handley of Eldridge, a son, Grady Willis of Huntsville, grandchildren, Tanya Swails of TX, Jessica Earnest (Scot) of Winfield, Amanda Price of Winfield, Crystal Bridgmon (Jeremy) of Eldridge, Brandon Simpson of Eldridge, Nikki Channell (Cecil) of Glen Allen, Hillary Shepherd of TX, Jace Willis of Florence and Demi Willis of Town Creek, 17 great grandchildren, daughters-in-law, Clinta Willis and Patricia Willis and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Willis, sons, John Willis and Richard Willis, a grandson, John Michael Pair, parents, Grady Haley and Lorene Eads Alexander, a sister, Barbara Rickles and two brothers, Ray Haley and Ralph “Nip” Haley and her son-in-law, Jim Handley.
