Mrs. Norma Jean Harbin age 90 of Winfield, passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2022 in the Diversicare Healthcare Center in Winfield. She was born on February 27, 1932 in Marion County Alabama to Charles and Bessie Mae Pickle Ashmore. Mrs. Harbin was a 1950 graduate of Brilliant High School. She was a member of the Winfield Frist Baptist Church and Order of the Eastern Star.

Mrs. Harbin is survived by her husband of nearly 74 years, Wade Harbin, daughter, Phyllis Holley (Jim) of Ft. Myers, FL, son, Mike Harbin (Sharla) of Monahans, TX, grandsons, David Harbin (Amy) of California, Jason Harbin (Georgianna) of Texas, great grandsons, Grady and Ethan Harbin of Texas, a brother, Buddy Ashmore of Haleyville and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister-in-law, Alice Ashmore.

Funeral services for Mrs. Harbin will be held on Monday, May 23rd at 1:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Winfield City Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Monday from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the Winfield First Baptist Church Building Fund, P. O. Box 237 Winfield, AL 35594 in memory of Mrs. Harbin.

Mr. Avery Joe Pate, better known as “Joe Joe” age 58 of Winfield, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2022 in the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi. Joe Joe was born in Marion County, Alabama on May 18, 1963 to Joseph and Mary Meharg Pate. He attended New Life Fellowship Church in Winfield and was employed with Quantum Construction Company for many years. Joe Joe enjoyed wood working and spending time with his daughter and granddaughters.
He is survived by his daughter, Melissa Pate Breeden (Chris), granddaughters, Chloe and Isabella Skelton, brothers, Ronnie Pate, Ricky Pate, Michael Pate (Theresa), William Pate, Kenneth Pate and Allen Pate and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Henry Moser.
Funeral services for Joe Joe will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Hillcrest Church of Christ Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. service time at the funeral home.

Mr. George Walter Crews better known as “GW” age 84, of Winfield passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 in the Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham. GW was born in Fayette County, Alabama on February 20, 1938 to Grady and Audie Flyne Crews. Mr. Crews was a member of the Mt. Willing Freewill Baptist Church. He was a farmer, small engine repairman and musician. GW was a very talented man that has written many songs and always told others he was inspired by Hank Williams, Sr. to write songs and play music.
Mr. Crews is survived by his wife of 38 years, Linda Johnson Crews, son, David Ray (Tammy) of Carbon Hill, grandchildren, Nathaniel Ray (Ashley) of Florida and Courtney Riddick (Michael) of Hawaii, 8 great grandchildren, nephews, James Sprinkle and Noah Sprinkle a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Sprinkle and a host of other relatives, church family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, James Crews.
Funeral services for Mr. Crews will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. from the Mt. Willing Freewill Baptist Church with burial to follow in the adjoining cemetery. The visitation will be on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. service time at the church.

Mr. Randell Ray Randolph age 67, of Winfield passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2022 in the Northwest Medical Center. Mr. Randolph was born in Winfield, Alabama on September 29, 1954 to Ray and Dorothy Hulsey Randolph. He was always a hard worker even after his retirement, he spent much of his life working in the Oil Fields as a Rig Manager. Mr. Randolph loved spending time and fishing with his buddy and grandson, Brady Hamric.

In addition to his parents Mr. Randolph was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Randolph, son, Keith Smith, and brother, Larry Randolph.

He is survived by his sons, Jeremy Randolph (Jolie), and Chris Smith, daughter, Reagan Hamric (Josh), grandchildren, Brandon and Skye Smith, Kendra Angwin (Davey), Kelsey Smith, Joey and River Randolph, Brady and Callie Hamric, brother, Derrell Randolph, sister, Teresa Cotton (Mike), and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

A memorial service for Mr. Randolph will be announced later by the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel.
