Mr. Stephen Wayne Pridmore, better known as Steve, age 70, of Winfield passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2024 at his residence. Mr. Pridmore was born in Winfield, Alabama on February 21, 1953 to LJ Pridmore and Jo Ann Miller Box. He was a 1970 graduate of Winfield City High School. Steve spent much of his life employed with the United States Postal Service as a mail contractor before his retirement after 30 years of service. In his spare time Steve enjoyed watching Alabama Football, farming, fishing, going to the beach and spending time with his family.

Mr. Pridmore is survived by his children, Stacie Posey (Nick), Bryan Colburn, and Stephanie Chandler (Matthew), grandchildren, Asher Posey, Blane Colburn, Scarlett Colburn, and Taylor, Dalton, and Matt Chandler, great-granddaughter, Remi-Kate Colburn, mother, Jo Ann Miller Box, sister, Stephanie Box, nephew, Justin Lenahan (Susie), nieces, Ashley Seals (Ty), and Karrah Harrison (Will), and a host of other family members and friends.

Mr. Pridmore was preceded in death by his wife, Nelda Pridmore, and his fathers, LJ Pridmore and Robert Box.

Funeral services for Mr. Pridmore will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel. The visitation will be held on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. service time at the funeral home.

Ms. Mary A. Morrison, age 81, of Winfield passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2024 at her residence. Ms. Morrison was born in Michigan on December 25, 1942 to Alex and Alta Bagley Benny. She was a member of the Guin First Freewill Baptist Church. Mary spent much of her life working in the home taking care of her family. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles.

Ms. Morrison is survived by her sons, Jay Dole (Esther Soares), and Raymond Dole, daughter, Brenda Richardson (Kenny), grandchildren, Bradley Dole, and Katelyn Goggans (Charles), great-granddaughter, Amelia Goggins, brothers, Mike Benny (Maggie), Glen Benny (Mary), and Ron Benny (Corky), and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Morrison was preceded in death by son, Robert Morrison, brothers, Rick and Bill Benny, and sister, Darla Gene Benny.

Funeral services for Ms. Morrison will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at 12:00 noon from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Sands Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon service time at the funeral home.

Ms. Peggy Joyce Cole, age 77, of Guin passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2024. Ms. Cole was born November 16, 1946 in Guin, Alabama to Robert Lawrence Cockrell and Betty Sue Parr Cockrell. Peggy was a member of the Guin Church of God. She attended Winfield City High School and later went on to college where she earned a degree as an O.R. Tech. She was employed in Labor and Delivery and as an O.R. Tech with Northwest Medical Center for many years until her retirement. In her spare time Peggy enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Ms. Cole is survived by daughters, Kim Smith (Randy), and Katriena Porter (Tony), son, Mark Cole, grandchildren, Amy Allman, Josh Smith, Chad Smith, Chelsea Parks, Josie Porter, Toby Porter, Cameron Zuber, Ashley Papania, and, 14 great grandchildren, brothers, Bob Cain, Roger Cain (Sheila), and Steve Cain, sister, Marie May, and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.

Ms. Cole was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lawrence Cockrell, and Betty Sue Parr Cockrell Cain and a granddaughter, Lindsey Porter.

Funeral services for Ms. Cole will be held on Sunday, January 7, 2024 at2:30 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Webb Cemetery near Beaverton. The visitation will be held on Sunday from 1:30 until 2:30 service time at the funeral home.

Ms. Judy Millican, age 73, of Guin passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 in the Brookwood Baptist Medical Center. Ms. Millican was born May 24, 1950 to Elvie and Ruby Carden Millican. She attended Center Methodist Church and was a graduate of Marion County High School. Judy was employed with Munsingwear Manufacturing until her retirement after many years of service. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Ms. Millican is survived by sons, James Tenny Motes, and Jeremy Todd Motes, grandchildren, Dylan, Aftan, Ella, and Daniel Motes, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Ms. Millican was preceded in death by her parents, Elzie and Ruby Millican, and a brother, Jerry Millican.

A memorial service for Ms. Millican will be held on Monday, January 8, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. service time at the funeral home.
