Mr. Charles Waylon "Tommy" Tucker, age 84 of Eldridge, passed away on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at his residence.  Mr. Tucker was a member of the Eldridge Church of Christ and a Volunteer Fireman with Eldridge Fire Department.  Mr. Tucker grew up on his family farm in Fayette County where he enjoyed spending his spare time fishing from the creek banks.  He worked in the auto industry in Detroit for Chrysler Corporation until being drafted into the United States Army in 1957 during the Korean war.  Upon his return from service, Tommy worked in the mining industry until 1991 when he started delivering parts for Scott's Auto Salvage. Mr. Tucker loved camping, hunting and fishing, and spending time with his family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Lucille Sprinkle Tucker, a sister, Louise Tucker Riggs, a niece, Renee Hayes Wheat, and a nephew, Grant Tucker.  He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Patsy Long Tucker, daughters, Vickie Cosby (Kevin) and Sherrie Behel (Wade), a son Scott Tucker (Meloney), grandchildren, Shaun Cosby (Ashley), Luke Cantrell (Amanda), Seth Cosby, Tyler Behel (Brittany), Chelle Tucker Phillips (Mike), Hayden Behel and Wesley Tucker (Chelsea), great grandchildren, Kate Cantrell, Preston Cantrell, Owen Cosby, Sam Cantrell, Waylon Behel, Wright Cantrell, and South Behel, sisters, Margie Sue Wallace (Jim), Glenda Logan (Veston) and Donna Turner (Tommy), brothers, Johnny Tucker (Betty) and Larry Tucker (Dorothy), a brother in law, Wayne Riggs, and a host of other relatives and friends.  Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 from the Eldridge Church of Christ with burial to follow in the Kelley Cemetery.  A vsistation will be held on Monday, August 13, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the church.  Gilbert Behel, Derek Porter, and Lonnie Ingram will officiate.  Bowen Funeral Home of Winfield serving the Tucker family.
