Mr. Dennis Everette Jordan, age 77, of Brookwood, Alabama, formerly of Winfield, passed away on Sunday, November 23rd at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born in Fayette, Alabama, on May 18, 1948 to Elgar and Geneva Everette Jordan. Dennis was a 1968 graduate of Hubbertville High School and a devoted member of Sand Springs Baptist Church. Dennis spent many dedicated years employed with Reltoc Manufacturing. After its closing, he continued his work at Continental Conveyor until his retirement. In his spare time, Dennis found happiness in the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, rabbit and deer hunting, gardening, and spending treasured time with those he loved.
Mr. Jordan is survived by his daughter, Amber Waldrop (Chris), his grandchildren, Megan Barger (Shay), Christa Young (M.V.), Mallorie, Abbie, and Caleb, his great-grandchildren, Sophie, McKenzie, Emma, Charlie, Grayson, and Anne Virginia, his sister, Rebecca Wright, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Jordan was preceded in death by his son, Chad Jordan, his brother, Ronnie Jordan, and his sister, Martha Rainwater.
Funeral services for Mr. Jordan will be held on Tuesday, November 25th at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Sand Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Tuesday from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. service time at the funeral home.
