Mrs. Annie Bell Curtis, better known as “Sug”, age 75 of Winfield passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2025 in the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born in Fayette County, Alabama on October 28, 1949 to Elix and Annie West Rozzell. Mrs. Curtis was a member of the New Covenant Church of Christ. She worked most of her life as a seamstress in area garment plants. In her spare time “Sug” enjoyed sewing, shopping, and spending time with family and friends.
Mrs. Curtis is survived by her children, Nathaniel Rozzell (Mary), Anthony Sanders, Johnny Wayne Sanders (Deborah), Demetrius Enis, Andre Enis, and Ashley Enis, her grandchildren, Adrienne Smith (Antonio), Anthony Ray Sanders, Xander Sanders, Latasha White, Quinton Dwayne Sanders, Nate Mathis, Darius Rozzell, Javen Rozzell, and Stephen Rozzell Jr., sisters, Mattie Coleman and Erlean Brewster, and a host of other grandchildren, great grandchildren and other family members.
Mrs. Curtis was preceded in death by her husbands, her son Stephen Rozzell, her stepdaughter, Sheika Enis, and 18 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services for Mrs. Curtis will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Hodges Chapel Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. service time at the funeral home. A Repast will be held at the Winfield Community Center immediately following the service.
