Mrs. Elouise Baccus Moore, age 85, of Winfield passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2025. Mrs. Moore was born on June 9, 1940 in Winfield, Alabama to Grady and Hattie Beasley Baccus. Elouise dedicated her life to her family as a devoted homemaker and making a warm and welcoming home for her husband, children, and grandchildren. Taking care of others was her greatest joy, and she did so with love and selflessness. Raised by loving, God fearing parents, Elouise had a love for singing. She knew all the old hymns and sang them in beautiful harmony. In her later years, her faith was a cornerstone in her life, and she loved sharing her love for Jesus with others.

Mrs. Moore is survived by her son, Donnie and his wife Denena Moore of Guin, her grandchildren, Eric Moore (Carmen), Amanda Cole (RJ), Valerie Davis (Ronnie), Blaine Hill (Randi) and Drake Thompson, 14 great grandchildren, her brother, Fred Baccus (Pat), and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

She was preceded by her parents, her husband, Ira “Buddy” Moore, daughter, Angie Thompson, grandson, Blayke Hill, sister, Bernice Prescott and brothers, Reuben and Jerry Baccus

Funeral services for Mrs. Moore will be held on Friday, June 13th at 4p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Bethel Cemetery near Brilliant. The visitation will be held on Friday from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m. service time at the funeral home.
