Mrs. Dawn Marie Minor, age 66, of Winfield passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2024 in the UAB Medical Center. Mrs. Minor was born June 29, 1958 in Waukesha, Wisconsin to Douglas Mitchell and Lillian Smith Mikkelson. She was a 1977 graduate of Waukesha High School. Before her retirement she spent 11 years as a sales associate with Walmart of Fayette. Dawn enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, riding motorcycles, and always enjoying life.
Mrs. Minor is survived by her husband, Brad Minor, daughters, Denise Wood (Sean Capsan), Heather Hanson, and Marissa Heathcock (George), grandchildren, Douglas Tant (Barbara), Amber White, Justus Heathcock, Brylieh Heathcock, Logan Heathcock, Corbin Capsan, great grandson, Braxton Tant, sisters, Mary Kay Dulka (T.J.), Tracie Kuehl (Harvey), Joellen Schneider (David), Terrie Sue Smith and a brother, David Mikkelson (Roxanne). She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service for Dawn will be held on Sunday, August 25th at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home chapel. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. service time at the funeral home.
