Mr. Robert Lee Miles better known as Smiley, age 65 of Winfield passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at his residence.
Mr. Miles was born on July 3, 1956 to John and Vesta Miles in Tennessee. Smiley was a United States Army and National Guard veteran serving his country for 32 years. He was a jack-of-all-trades, working in sawmills, farming, mobile home escorts, and helping others in any way. Smiley was a family man, he loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Mr. Miles is survived by his wife of 39 years, Cris Anne Miles, his daughters, April Miles Miller of Cullman, Stephane Miles (Barry Woods) of Jasper, Heather Lawrence (Joe) of Exeter, MO, Nicole Miles (Jeremy Sanders) of Hamilton, and Carol Miles (Jason Seals) of Guin, sons, Jason Miles and Devin Miles both of Winfield, 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandson, sisters, Janet Sprinkle (Randy) of Brilliant and Lillie Sipes of Winfield, brothers, Bill Johnson (Tammy) of Winfield, Tommy Miles (Paula) of Texas and Timmy Miles of Texas, best friends, Randy Guyton and David Gann a host of nieces, nephews, and adopted children.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Frank Jr Miles and Vesta Louise Johnson Miles, brother, Jackie Miles and Larry Miles, and sisters, Opal Dean and Brenda Alonzo.
Funeral services for Mr. Miles will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Harmony Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. service time at the funeral home. Bowen Funeral Home of Winfield serving the Miles family.

Mrs. Mitsu Shimabuku Reed, age 72, of Winfield passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2021. Mitsu was born on November 8, 1948 in Gushikawa Japan to Kamasuku and Shizu Asato Shimabuku.
Mrs. Reed was a selfless person who strived to always put others before herself. She was known as me-maw to all her family. She taught her children and grandchildren to be strong and resilient and she was always there in their times of need. Mitsu was a member of Bethel Apostolic Church of Winfield and employed for many years at Reltoc Manufacturing in Winfield.
Mrs. Reed is survived by her daughters, Michelle Reed-Webb of Fayette and Masaka Reed Loveless (Jeremy) of Winfield, grandchildren, Andrew Ray Webb, Matthew Thomas Webb, Chelsi Sky Travis, Kaidence Michelle Loveless, and Rylan Blaine Loveless, sister, Sumi Shimabuku, and a brother Haru Shimabuku and a host of other friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Drew Reed, parents, Kamasuku Shimabuku and Shizu Asato Shimabuku,
A memorial service for Mitsu will be held on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. from the New Life Fellowship Church in Winfield. Bowen Funeral Home serving the Reed family.


Mr. Timmy Lee Autrey, age 60, of Brilliant passed away on Monday September 13, 2021. Mr. Autrey was born on June 23, 1961 to Uless Ray Autrey and MaryAnn Farley. Mr. Autrey was a member of the Brock Church of Christ, and a 1979 graduate of Brilliant High School. Tim was employed for many years as a truck driver; he drove for Continental Conveyor and pulled mobile homes. His most recent employment was Service Manager for Frazier Splicing in Brilliant.
Mr. Autrey is survived by his wife of 32 years, Traci Flanagan Autrey, sons, Jonathon Autrey and Levi Autrey (Haley), his mother, MaryAnn Farley, sister, Tina Martin (Clint), brothers, Tommy Autrey and Terry Autrey, Mother-in-law, Wanda Flanagan, Sister-in-law, Tammy Woodard (Tommy), niece, Emily Wilson (Matt), and nephews, Tyler Autrey and Joshua Moore.
Mr. Autrey was preceded in death by his father, Uless Ray Autrey, stepfather, Howard Farley, grandparents, Lynn and Myrl Wilburn, and Uless Bo and Vernell Autrey, father-in-law, James Flanagan, and sister-in-law, Connie Autrey.
A Graveside service for Mr. Autrey will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. from the Brock Church of Christ Cemetery. Bowen Funeral Home serving the Autrey family.
